Immediate Need of Control over Wildfires in California

Today California is in crisis. At a sudden, a natural disaster was happened in California. San Diego County, the largest county in California is being suffered from wildfires. Wildfires burned and spread at San Diego County. The biggest wildfires continued to burn, particularly east of San Diego. The firefighters are trying their best to bring control over the fire. Nearly 9,000 firefighters and troops are being involved in halting the spread of fires. Some fire authorities as well as elected officials are got angry with the state government for not following safety measures suggested by a blue-ribbon panel after the fires in 2003.
The economy damaged by the wildfires is modest relative to the country’s worst natural disaster including Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Northridge, Calif., earthquake in 1994.
It is very sad news hearted to us that wildfires have burned through nearly 5, 00,000 acres and displaced half a million residents over four days in Southern California . Despite of firefighters began to assert control over wildfires, the fires of October 2007 have sharpened the costs of protecting local people who live in remote and highly flammable areas. It reawakened the people and government of California for local emergency services and humanitarian costs.
The state government as well as central government must pay deeper attention to prioritize saving life and the property of the people badly victimized.
The fires, which began Sunday and wreaked havoc in California, have so far ruined 1,500 households. The economic pain crept out by the wildfires and loss of lives of people made a horrible tragedy to the United States.
In San Diego County, it is officially estimated that the fires have damaged more than $ 1 billion. But Moody’s Economy.com estimated that property was damaged at the cost of $ 643 million to $ 876 million.
Meanwhile, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has timely traveled from one-fire-command post to another, inspecting the victimized people and areas. He is asking for aid request to President Bush and other federal officials. The local residents lying down the footpath have been homeless and helpless.
Presently, President Bush also visited and inspected the victimized areas where wildfires terribly damaged.
The United States of America is the richest country which is the renowned aid-provider to the world. Actually, it needs not to ask any assistance to other. Even then it can get assistances from the world community, if it necessitated in some circumstances.
The World Red Cross, World Habitant Organization and many more humanitarian Organizations have to provide immediate assistances to the victimized people and areas.
The National Weather Service is also helping to fire lines to anticipate violent local winds. Nine forecasters are being involved in Southern California equipped with satellite dishes.
The sufficient medication, food supply and accommodation should be provided to those people who are waiting for. Voluntarily, the people of the world must assist and sympathize to the residents of California victimized from the natural disaster.
