The Great One’s Didn’t Go To Harvard & Yale

This morning I received an e-mail from a crusty lady in Sheridan Wyoming who happens to be a Fred Thompson supporter. This lady has e-mailed me before adding a little to each of my articles supporting Fred Thompson. Charlotte isn’t the only one who tells me they are behind Fred Thompson 100%. I would have used the popular Democratic statistic of 110% except like so many things Democratic 110% doesn’t exist. Democrats are always trying to convince the voters they can go several steps beyond what’s physically possible. Every time Hillary opens her mouth she goes 110% beyond reality, she’s always somewhere between 110% wrong and 110% pure bull manure. That’s her position and you dam well better believe she’s going to change it, again and again and again.
Looking back it’s occurred to me the truly great president didn’t attend Harvard or Yale, men like Ale Lincoln, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson and Ronald Reagan all went to Goat Roper Normal, the little teachers collage down the dusty road a few miles from where they called home, if they went at all. These men did more to eliminate human suffering and starvation than all the presidents that came before or after them.
All the Charlottes of all the Sheridan Wyoming’s will elect the next president of this country not the Harvard and Yale alumni, not the Brit Hume’s and Wolf Blitzes or the rest of the media pundits, not even the internet bloggers. This is something Fred Thompson is well aware of, Fred knows it’s not about the money he collects and spends, it’s not about the empty promises and it sure as hell isn’t about kissing babies and old ladies, it’s about honesty and believability. It’s about saying the same thing to every one and not having a separate speech for the different audiences.
Candidates and the media make a big thing out of the money each candidate collects each quarter. That money goes to buy television and radio commercials, to rent buses and private jets to travel around influencing party delegates. No one is offering Charlotte one penny for her vote, not that she’d consider taking it. The money isn’t buying votes its influencing state party delegates, a process that’s frequently interesting and often amusing it’s never the less meaningless come November when the voters make their marks.
Fred Thompson is politically astute enough to understand how politicians think he’s smart enough to know if he wants to win the presidential election he has to run smarter than the rest of the rabbits in the race. If we equate Fred Thompson’s [Stratigery] as similar to the old parable of the Tortes and the Hair we can see how Fred Thompson intends to win, He’s steadily plodding down the path to the Whitehouse while the other candidates are off the path sampling and chasing carrots in other greener gardens.
Charlotte from Sheridan Wyoming and all the Charlottes from all the Sheridan’s in America are looking for a president and a congress who will let them keep more of their hard earned money and the jobs they work so hard at. They see no benefit in providing health care for people or their children who are as capable as Charlotte of providing their own health care. The Charlottes are compassionate people they aren’t stupid people, they know each must proved for themselves and when government assumes that responsibility it put a heavy burdon on a few and encourages many to kick back and take advantage. All the Charlottes are beginning to see what Liberalism is costing them and if allowed to continue what it’s going to cost them and their descendants in years to come.
In advance of Democrats winning total control of the government in the coming 2008 elections they are already proposing vast tax increases with no mention of what the money will be used for. This is not how democracy is spelled. Congress and the president are the servants of the people not their masters, this is an attitude by the Washingtonians that needs changing and the only way is through the ballot box.
Fred Thompson is as near to being one of the people as we’re going to get in the coming election. If we are to get back to a government of the people we need to elect Fred Thompson President.
