Weight Loss Tips for Alcoholics
So now, after months of toiling with my shaker, straws and limes, I have created a margarita that will not sentence me to buying clothes in the hopeless-gluttons department at Macy’s.
Here’s how it goes.
This recipe makes a pitcher (64 fluid ounces) of low-calorie margarita
Ingredients:
16 ounces of non-hangover inducing fine-grade tequila (go añejo)
16 ounces of fresh Mt. Avian filtered ice (just kidding, any fridge ice will do)
20 ounces of sugar-free lemonade
4 ounces of fresh-squeezed lime juice
4 ounces of lemon or citrus liquor
Mixing
Now pour all of this stuff into a blender, close the top, and mix on high speed for 30-60 seconds. Pour the margarita mix over ice and enjoy.
Adjusting
Naturally, you can, and should, adjust all of the ingredients in this recipe to suit your own liquor palette. It will just make your drink even more intoxicating to know that it’s low calorie.
Get fruity
Once you have balanced the taste of your margarita, you may want to add fresh fruits like strawberries, mango or pineapple. Adding fresh fruits reduces the need for high fructose sweeteners and makes your margarita more filling- another need trick that reduces your chances of over eating
Whether you’re under an umbrella or lounging on your couch, just make sure to indulge in every sip of your margarita. Cheers.
