Selfish and Spoiled and entirely Greedy Americans and Especially Talk Radio Hosts?

It is somewhat surprising to me a Brit coming to terms with the American mentality after six years here and listening to Talk Radio just to be amazed and horrified at prejudiced, bigoted, orchestrated narrow mindedness. I don't listen in support but in awe? Why is the great nation of America so selfish and split? Some can barely be concerned as to what happens on the 'wrong' side of town let alone the wrong state or even the wrong side of the world. Could THAT be why the winning the peace has not gone well in the last four years? You have to like people to be peace keepers and you guys don't even like yourselves? No one cares about the travesty of a wrecked New Orleans and Pensacola has taken years to recover from hurricanes and yet trillions and trillions are wasted in the Middle East. Limbaugh on Talk Radio sneers at the suggestion from Gov. Mike Easley NC that we don't clean our cars so often. They also are not serving water unless asked in restaurants. Limbaugh brags about having five vehicles that he 'has washed' once a day. Instead of supporting the idea he scoffs it. He also lets us know what is causing the problem in the world. Too many with too much. Forget the icons like Gore and Bush, the Fondas and Tom Hanks of the world. It is the many like Limbaugh with too much and too many and the selfishness that goes with it. Hannity also scoffed at speed containment as a means to conserve fuel as he wants to go faster? He could at least keep his selfishness to himself in the circumstances. Limbaugh in Miami might have money to have all the water he wants but he might be aware as he talks to the nation of people less well off and under threat of even household restrictions.

Right now I am hearing Boortz and his cr*p about the Democrats wanting to starve the troops and it being treasonable. What I am mystified about is the clear fact that the populace WANT the end to the occupation and yet cannot achieve it because of Republican conspiracy. Is it time to change a system that enables the few to hold to ransom the many. We in the UK had a much more efficient way of removing and putting in his place an unpopular Prime Minister. We expressed our dismay and the party in position changed their leader to reflect that? Easy Peasy? Boortz talks of Pelosi being a traitor and stuff because of the stand point that Turkey were/are guilty of genocide. Why can Hannity regail about the holocaust time and time again and yet want to sweep under the carpet that Turkey are in complete denial of the matter. They consider themselves to be too important to USA to have to endure the embarrassment of honestly admitting the issue. Bush is embarrassed and wants double standards to suck up to the Turks and this is what really lets America down as fair and true global partners and with high standards. What should happen is that NATO and United Nations get right out of Turkey and do NOT trade with them until they are ready to accept their murky past. USA should NOT make cheap oil and good bases more important than the truth and the right of history.

I cannot wait to see after the election if there is a Democratic Government if the Talk Radio hosts STILL talk and act as if they speak for the majority? They run America as they brag and yet are clearly in the minority and radio gives them a platform to change democracy and the true voice of the people purely as they can manipulate a certain degree of 'fly-by-night' activists to change the TRUE voice of the people. For that reason alone and because they humiliate and denigrate any counter argument and orchestrate the callers inputs and even tape them to consistently humiliate them frequently and that should be stopped. No talk radio show anywhere in the dozen countries I have stayed have an ability to hear only one side and for the host to operate the slider to silence anytime he likes. That is not free speech but in fact is un free biased speech.
