The United States is for Sale, but only if you permit it to be. Fight against the sale of America.
It is a myth that low wages make foreign nations more competitive. Our work force has always been the most productive in the world. We also work the most hours of any work force in the world. The reason we can not compete on the world market now is our government has created a system whereby our consumer market has been opened to the entire world while our products can't be sold any where because of tariffs and rules that prevent our ability to compete.
That disastrous result for America is not a result of inevitably of global trade with trading partners who have cheaper higher quality products. The loss of American competitiveness is the direct result of corrupt international corporate influence on our Presidents and our congress. Our congress continues to give the president unfettered control over illegal trade agreements that violate not only our constitution but our judicial branch of government by subordinating our laws and constitution to international corporate rule.
America had such a strong consumer market because we had a well paid work force from the 20's until the 60's in comparison to the rest of the world. Immigration into the country was restricted and cost of labor increased as supply of workers was reduced. It still gave us one of the most productive economies in the world with the lowest total costs when we had fair tariffs that permitted our goods to be sold on an equal basis with other world suppliers. They could not compete with us because of the high quality and low cost of our products.
Increased labor costs did not eliminate phenomenal profits corporate America received but they wanted more. They got it by getting reduced corporate taxes for locating corporate offices offshore. They then got special privileges and reduced costs related to imported goods through illegal Free Trade Agreements that created opportunities for them to relocate complete production facilities overseas.
Finally they were granted unfettered access to developing nations’ labor supply and non existent environmental and labor law restrictions. Their new production locations gave them less quality products, with cheaper unskilled labor, cheaper tariffs and lower taxes, so they could get even more profits from those junk goods they sold to American consumers. They were able to violate American product safety standards with a flood of cheap products of poor, dangerous and unhealthy products. International corporate profits soared even though their products violated American laws.
The “global economy” is a creation of international corporatists and corrupt government officials in Europe, The United States, and Asia. It was not and is not inevitable consequence of market forces. It is and always has been the result of a calculated attempt to take over the control of the world economy.
It can be and should be changed to make it fair for American workers once again. The brainchild of the current design of world economic policies is reported to have been the idea of Immanuel Maurice Wallerstein.
Immanuel Maurice Wallerstein 1974, one world order (theorist of the global capitalist economy on a macroscopic level. His early criticism of global capitalism and championship of "anti-systemic movements" have recently made him a grey eminence (a powerful advisor or decision-maker who operates secretly or unofficially) with the Anti-globalization movement within and without the academic community) said The Modern World System Vol I page 233-“The mark of the modern world is the imagination of its profiteers and the counter-assertiveness of the oppressed. Exploitation and the refusal to accept exploitation as either inevitable or just constitute the continuing antinomy of the modern era, joined together in a dialectic which has far from reached its climax in the twentieth century."
Immanuel Maurice Wallerstein (new world order guru) theorist of global capitalist economy on a macroscopic level, rejected notion of a "Third World", claiming there was only one world connected by a complex network of economic exchange relationships--i.e., a "world-economy" or "world-system", in which 'dichotomy of capital and labour', and endless 'accumulation of capital' by competing agents (historically including, but not limited to nation-states) account for frictions. This approach is called World Systems Theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Systems_Theory
The world systems theory indicates subordination of nation states to international corporate control is necessary to reduce global market frictions between competing sovereign governments. Consequently they must destroy all nation states to assure maximum effectiveness of the global capitalist economy. It is immaterial what world governing force is in place as long as global corporatists control the world economy. If they have that control they can in turn control the governments.
The World Trade Organization a corner stone of the World Trade Theory implementation phase and has control over all the trade agreement disputes now and deprives nation states of their sovereign right to handle disputes between nations. The World Bank controls the money supply to developing nations to assure the nations comply with the international corporate agenda for world economic control.
United States participation in those international corporate controlled trade organizations is illegally accomplished without citizen input or involvement. We must end these illegal agreements and reintroduce a sane policy of trade that benefits nations and people more than international corporations.
Illegal trade agreements must be rescinded. WE the People can never accept subjugation to corporate authority over our representative democracy. This is a transition that can be reversed and will be; either by the ballot or by the bullet.
This next election for president and congress in 2008 is critical. We must change the government in Washington D.C. and eliminate all of the elected corporate shills from elective office. This election demands an informed and aware electorate that can decipher these critical issues and arise above partisan party politics. We must be independent and demand the same in our representatives. They must work for us, We the PEOPLE.
