Cyberhug Anyone?
A human being needs to interact with something other than a computer mouse, we need to speak, touch and socialize with each other.
According to Reuters, scientists in Singapore are developing a pajama suit for children, which would use the Internet to adjust changes in pressure and temperature to simulate the feeling of being hugged.
When parents go on a business trip they can cyberhug their children, it's the next best thing to tucking them in for the night.
This technology isn't just for children, Internet addicts who rely on emoticons and smileys to express their emotions, will soon be able to cyberhug each other.
But of course the online porn purveyors will soon exploit this technology, I can see them hawking cyberhugs from porn stars.
Cyberhugs are a great idea, but no one should rely on them to sustain their emotional health, we can't thrive emotionally and psychologically without getting a real hug every once in a while.
Don't get hugs from anyone? Try hugging a family member, friend, or your significant other, chances are they will hug you back.
