President George W. Bush: Childrens Do Learn

Robert Paul Reyes
George W. Bush, the self-proclaimed "education president" once asked: "Is our children learning?"

Well is they are is they not learning? Appearing before a group of kids in a photo-op to promote the No Child Left Behind Act, the headmaster-in-chief answered in the affirmative: "Childrens do learn".

Whenever I quote Dubya in one of my articles my spell check and grammar check goes bonkers.

I don't have any children and I'm not familiar with all of the nuances of the No Child Left Behind Act, but if it's endorsed by an idiot like Bush, I urge Congress not to reauthorize it.

If I were the principal of a middle school I would make it a "Bush-free Zone"; I wouldn't want to expose my childrens to the president's bad grammar.

With the 2008 presidential election quickly approaching, I hope the electorate "do learn" that we can't survive another four or eight years of a Republican administration.
