A Second Look At George Bush’s War On Terror
Some in Congress argue it’s time for America to pull out of Iraq. What then, they offer no alternative solution. Would they leave Iraq at the mercy of Al Qaida, [poor choice of words.] Would those American Congressmen and women accept responsibility for the bloodbath that would surely follow and American pull out? Or would they brush it off as they did with North Korea, Vietnam and Iraq after Desert Storm. Will two thousand brave men and women have given their lives and countless others their limbs for nothing? Will this happen simply because old men wish to play the game of politics and disregard the consequences?
Jesus may forgive these politicians, God won’t and ultimately he’s the man in charge. I don’t care what Christians say, God hasn’t turned the family business over to the kids yet.
In another article, I suggested George Bush might be a Crusader much as the early Christians who invaded the Holy_land were. It wasn’t a serious belief of mine, it was more of a metaphor. It’s to point out men of faith would go to great ends to spread their faith to those who practice oppression, touchier and murder. These men of Al Qaida are not of any nation, they have no religious preference or moral commitment to their fellow men. They’re barbarians with a desire to commit murder. There’re the men some of our Congressional politicians are willing to set loose on humanity, to have free range with immunity.
How can American politicians who swore an oath to Country and God, they would serve and protect suggest these men are allowed to roam the earth freely to commit their atrocities at will? Haven’t they been watching and listening to what’s going on in the world? Are they so blended by their political ambitions they can’t connect the dots?
When the next terrorist attack comes to America, who’ll these congressman hold accountable? Rest assured it’ll be the president and his administration for not doing enough to protect us from these madmen. Even though they appose most of the policies, the president’s set forth to curtail terrorism in America.
When we take a look at George Bush’s war it’s obvious the war’s here in America with a Congress reluctant to accept facts. A congress who’s reelection is more important to them than America’s security. An apposing political party who’d sacrifice American lives to gain political advantage. These men aren’t worthy of the publics trust. Liberalism has sold America short for 70 years. It’s time to end it before it destroys us.
There’re two Americas, Them meaning Washington Beltway inhabitants and us, the rest of America. We supply the funds they make all the decisions. That’s easily corrected with term limits on Congress, two terms, [12 years] for the Senate, and three terms [6 years] for the members of the House of Representatives. It would be understood once they served the limit in one house there would be no jumping to the other house.
Hundreds of talented men and women are denied the opportunity of serving their government because old men with old ideas occupy seats in congress better served by those with ideas that are more in keeping with the times. The founding fathers didn’t write term limits in the founding documents, why I have no idea. Would they leave them out if written today I doubt it? Much as we would like it God didn’t create a perfect world, and the founding fathers didn’t create a perfect Republic. I don’t see anyone or any political party changing that any time soon. We are destined to live with what we have, that doesn’t say it the public get involved they can’t make it safer and better. We’re all part of this democracy perhaps it time to act like it mean something to us. It’s time to let congress know we aren’t pleased with their performance and we intend to do something about it.
Voting is not only a duty it’s a privilege not available to everyone in the world. Take advantage of your right to vote before the right to vote’s taken from you.
