Unconventional discoveries, communications media can help human race make progress
Information and understanding about various kinds of unconventional approaches and developments can often blend seamlessly with standard ways of doing things and common perspectives.
For example, we have discovered, or rediscovered, in recent years that human beings apparently have a "sixth sense" of intuition and instinct that is quite significant.
U.S. military and intelligence personnel, and some of their counterparts internationally, have found that techniques using the sixth sense and extrasensory perception (ESP) could be used in "remote viewing."
That is, they could gather specific information, insight and understanding by using only their minds and consciousness.
Other researchers and average people around the world have discovered that their "hunches" and "gut feelings" are often a form of "anomalous cognition" – sort of an other-than-usual kind of perception, awareness and information gathering.
How do we leverage and optimize assets like this? And what are some of the other unconventional resources and information that can be helpful?
HUMAN RELATIONS WORLDWIDE
The conflicts we are in the middle of today are not so different from those the human race has been involved in throughout our development over the centuries: cultural and religious clashes, competition over natural resources and wealth, desire for power and control, poor leadership.
Iraq and Afghanistan are two situations of great concern, but there are certainly other regions of our planet that are problematic too. The Middle East, Asia, North and South America, Europe and other areas all face challenges, difficulties and opportunities.
We are also facing climate change, increased planetary pollution, depleted natural resources and other serious problems in our natural habitat.
Can the increased and growing understanding about the natural human abilities of anomalous cognition and remote viewing help? And, if so, how?
Some views of the current state of the human race include the belief in a higher power, a larger intelligence and unseen realities and dimensions that are around us and within us.
Much modern research in quantum physics and human consciousness reportedly finds similar indications.
Determining ways to utilize and optimize these kinds of research and resources in military activities, peace operations, scientific exploration, human development and other efforts would seem to be a natural course of action.
UNCONVENTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
No matter how unusual some unconventional developments might seem, they are part of the natural world. Whether we are talking about the expanded abilities of human awareness and perception, scientific discoveries about the Universe or views on extraterrestrial intelligence and civilizations, we are dealing with situations that, in the big view of things, are part of Nature.
Bringing these elements into our approaches to resolving down-to-Earth problems is something that probably can be done, if we use our intelligence and resourcefulness.
For example, the human conflict that we see in Iraq is a result of many complex factors, as we know. There are many understandable reasons for the anger, brutality, fighting and killing in that country.
However, this fighting is being done by humans. And humans can change their minds and hearts, and change their approaches to situations.
In conducting security, intelligence and peace operations in Iraq, insights about human nature and consciousness can be utilized to reduce tensions, provide helpful information and achieve successful outcomes.
Expanding human intelligence in other areas of the world can also contribute to conflict resolution and prevention. This might not be welcome for war profiteers, but for most of the rest of us, such a development would be positive.
Providing information on the blending and merging of unconventional developments and conventional realities need not be difficult.
Whether through educational institutions, places of worship, TV, movies, books, the Internet, information operations or other communication platforms, valuable information about unconventional developments in human consciousness and other interesting phenomena can provide people with understanding and insight that can help resolve conventional problems.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
As more and more efforts and projects are implemented which delve into ongoing discoveries, the more we will probably see the value in the developments themselves and the media platforms that inform us about them.
An example might be the recent HBO series "John from Cincinnati." This show was cancelled after one 10-episode season while the audience and potential audience was beginning to understand the subtle and unconventional aspects of the show.
Was the character "John" an angel, an ET who just stepped off a UFO or was he one of us – a human who didn´t fully understand the crazy world around him and whose perceptions and communications were often confusing and troubling?
The show reflected this confusion and troubled people and situations. It also presented the merging and blending of the unconventional and the conventional on many fronts.
I have written a couple of recent articles specifically about the "John from Cincinnati" series and a few other articles that referenced the show, so I will not go into unnecessary detail here.
But, it seems worth noting that this TV series was in many ways a solid creative endeavor in terms of trying to communicate about very real phenomena that are important for us to understand. And this understanding is valuable in many ways.
HBO is re-airing the series in September and October and undoubtedly many viewers will enjoy the experience.
Other TV projects, films, books Web-based efforts and related activities also are highly worthwhile platforms for communicating about emerging developments that can help reduce conflict, spread prosperity, heal our planet and move the human race forward.
Maybe we will soon see the fruits of our labors from these endeavors. Maybe we will turn the corner on some of the problems we face. Maybe we will heal our planet, ourselves and witness the unfolding of a new era for the human race.
