Govenor Schwarzenegger Vetoes Four Wine Industy Bills

Four senate bills were vetoed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (CA) that were opposed by the wine industry.

Senate Bill 174, would have allowed an employee or ex-employee to file a class action lawsuit for wage violations.

Senate Bill 455, would have imposed a mandatory $250 fine for the misuse of pesticides.

Senate Bill 755, would have allowed mandatory criminal violations for miscalculations of piece rate wages and adding new and more frequent break periods for piece meal workers.

Senate Bill 820 which would have required every groundwater pump to have monitoring wells and report the information to state government offices.
