So here it is, two of the biggest movies of 2007. My good friend Tommy Chronic and I have had this discussion about which cartoon is the greatest. Transformers or The Simpsons.

I for one am a huge Transformers fan and Tommy Chronic loves The Simpsons. So of course when we both learned that big screen movies would be coming out this year about our favorites, both of us were very anxious to see which would do better. So far as you can see Transformers has very well outdone Simpsons at the box office. Now Transformers did have about six weeks head start but I am truly surprised that Simpsons hasn't done better than this. It hasn't even broke 200 million yet which is quite shocking.

Which brings me to another question.

Is this a sign of the end times for The Simpsons? After 18 years and now a feature movie that isn't breaking records...is the end of the Simpsons near? No show has ever ran this long except Cops and only because we will never run out of stupid people committing crimes.

The Simpsons has had a great run but I think that if they make it to 20 seasons that that will be the farewell. Matt Groening should go ahead and call it quits and end the show in a big way. How should he do that you ask...I have no idea.

He should end it, focus on the return of Futurama and count his millions!

However getting back to the subject of this post, Transformers (to me anyway)is still the greatest cartoon of all time and the 300 million plus just proves my point.

On a side note, Transformers is only behind Spider-man 3 by 26 million and it came out in May.

Autobots...Transformer and roll out!!!!!
