Calling a spade a spade is not a crime

Letters to the Editor
Dr. Megalommatis is a defender and voice for the oppressed peoples, wherever they live on the globe. In my opinion, he has no inclination of whatsoever, other than to see justice prevail, where oppression and injustice become commonplace.

In his endeavor to defend justice, he will definitely, earn the wrath of many, who live on the status quo; this is natural, but, keeping quite and letting these zealot of dictators and enemies of free speech is tantamount to strangling democracy and deserting principles of free speech and media.

It is, a fact well known and documented, that the Abyssinians rulers have for centuries oppressed the ethnic groups in Ethiopia, let they be, Oromos, Somalis or Sidamas, it is not something Dr.Megalommatis is creating.

In my knowledge, Ethiopia is one of, if not the only country, in our world, where minority has ruled the majority for 2000 years.

According to Ethiopian census the number of Muslims in Ethiopia are more than the Christians and the Oromo constitute 40% of the whole population, non of these two groups have ever come close to power and Ethiopian state religion is up to now Christianity. What wrong has Dr. Megalommatis done if he mentioned facts on the ground in Ethiopia? In fact, he is doing a favor, for those who have lived sucking the blood of their fellow human beings for centuries.

Calling a spade a spade is not a crime; we shall, all support the icon of the oppressed peoples, Dr. Megalommatis.
