A curious person might perchance want to go online and learn something about a number of old mystical traditions and happen to Google the word "Kabbalah." Try this and you will see up near the top of the first Google "Kabbalah" page is a link that leads to an online quickie course on Kabbalah. The sixteenth webpage that comes up in this quickie course is a card trick. The idea behind this trick is to fool the curious person into believing that there is some "mystical" POWER that can read the mind of the curious person. Check IT out.
Are YOU curious? Well for those who want to pick a card and witness the ancient mystical power of the Kabbalah at work, just copy and paste the following URL into your browser window. Then hit the ENTER key. Your computer will take you to the starting point of this safe and sane little adventure. Don't hesitate. Do it now! Learn about "The Greatest Story."

After you get to this webpage, fast forward through the course. Each time a new page comes up, click on the "next" or "continue" button. Do this 16 times. This will bring you to frame 16 in which six ordinary playing cards are displayed at the top of a green rectangle. Below the playing cards the lines read in English:
"Pick a card from this hand. Pick any card but don't touch it with your mouse. Simply choose the card in your mind."
"Now silently say the name of your card in your mind 3 times. Be sure to do it 3 times not just once or twice."
"When you are sure you have the card firmly in your mind, hit the go button."
Just for the heck of it, try this exercise five times. Verify that the mystical power does not fail!
You will be amazed that the mystical power reads your mind every single time!!!!!!!
Witness this for yourself! Each time you make your choice, the computer presents five cards and the card you picked is not among them! Along with this revelation, each time the computer tells you:

Smart as you are, by now you've probably figured out the trick. The "mystic" "magic" is that there are only two webpages. The first web page shows six cards in order from left to right: King of Hearts, Queen of Diamonds, King of Spades, Jack of Clubs, Queen of Clubs, and the Jack of Diamonds. Following the specified rules you choose one of these cards and click to the second page which displays another five cards: Queen of Spades, Jack of Hearts, King of Clubs, King of Diamonds, and the Queen of Hearts. Not one of the cards displayed on the first webpage is shown on the second web page! The tricky webmaster hopes you won't notice this trick. The webmaster knows that you are not really an IDIOT, but in all your emotional excitement over being introduced to the MYSTICAL POWER, a large part of your more recently evolved brain has been over-ridden and shut off.
There is, of course, no supernatural power at work here. No "ancient Mystics of the Kabbalah" are needed to work this deceit. One wonders how many naive visitors have been fooled by this trick.
Does this mean that the Kabbalah is a total crock? Well not exactly. There actually is wisdom in everything, but it often takes wisdom to recognize wisdom. Furthermore, most anybody can play a magic trick on you if they know the trick and you don't, and most anyone will fall for the trick if they don't know magic. The people who are running this "mystical" magical website are just not 100% honest. Consequently, buyer, beware.
Honestly, there is a blessing in being observant and intelligent. The active intellect has to be nourished, stimulated, developed, employed, and rewarded for its work. Daily care for each active brain is essential, and a nation really should take excellent care of all its bright children and adults. In our society, however, this doesn't happen, and a lot of brains gradually get shut down. This dumbing down produces lots of naive people who fall for the kind of trick that somebody trying to promote the Kabbalah just tried to play on you.
So hey. Don't attack me. I'm NOT trying to fool you.
Here's one of MY ideas...and I don't say this idea came from God. I just say that optimal diet gives a child's young body and brain the best chance to develop optimally. Daily brain stimulation and exercise makes the active young brain grow and develop optimally. A certain principle of growth applies to the growing body, the growing brain, the growing mind, and to all growing plants and animals! Children who study this universal growth principle learn it first by observing growing plants and animals. Since they too are growing fast, these children show themselves as examples of the growth principle being applied in themselves and by themselves. Meanwhile, as their teachers in this new school of the new age that is safer and saner than our present age, brainy children and adults share daily their joy in eating well and treating their bodies and brains well. This isn't sleight of hand or sleight of mind. No trickery is involved. There's no need to use a special substances when you are already functioning at peak level. You can't fool nature.
Now just think a little. If the Kabbalah actually were as valuable as some people believe, the Kabbalah would be taught in every school and it would be practiced by every prominent social leader and creative "genius." Other mystical traditions make large claims, also. But the Big Secret that is not BS remains so occult that the occultists themselves either conceal it from each other or they aren't even aware of what it is.
Indeed, there is inspiration in every culture, and pieces of the big brain puzzle are everywhere. Clues to the Big Secret are in every subject and in every society. Putting the pieces together tells the Big Secret in clear language. Inspired people use the secret of optimal brain functioning but they don't explain it clearly enough so that other people can use it to integrate their brains and be more intelligent than they ever were before they started consciously using the Big Secret. Public schools dumb children down. Public schools don't teach this method.
To be sure a few inspired persons become polymaths but no famous polymath focused on assembling this puzzle and actually succeeded. Not even Gregor Mendel pulled this one off. More professional scientists, including professional polymaths, really need to focus on this topic, even if initial funding is nonexistent.
In fits and starts as a maverick polymath I've been working on this problem since about 1964.
