My Integrative Art
My art is revolutionary because it demonstrates and promotes the integration of the verbal thinking mind with the nonverbal feeling body. Indeed, in many of my art works you see the free line drawings mixed with printed or written words. All these drawings are a record of my free body movement. A video would show even more of my body movement. This movement combines with my free movement in thought and the two movements, the physical and the mental, are conjoined inside of my brain. The video can't show this actual neurological integration, however. Neither does my art.
The integration that my art advertises is in education, in philosophy, in psychology, and in medicine. Rodin didn't produce such an integration. My work does. The evidence of this comes in many shapes and sizes. For example, you witness boys and girls moving their bodies in different ways, illustrating how young bodies move as a children learn to meet cognitive challenges.!
My art works and my writings help me advertise a clear awareness that younger children are quite well integrated in their bodies, brains, and minds, but traditional culture trains them to be less well integrated so that by adulthood a good thinker is expected to not show body movement to match the moving cognitive awareness inside of his brain. Rodin's art does not make this point clear. And so, in rejuvenating older brains, the self-made doctor-artist-shaman-standing-on-his-head helps adults "become again as a little child" and actually follow the messianic directive. Or, if such archaic language bothers you, just focus on the vigor and the glee that is found in young brains whose bodies scribble, doodle, and fidget as they take on new cognitive tasks and meet new challenges in perception, in cognition, and in learning. For older people this is rejuvenation par excellence!
The message of self-rejuvenation and self-healing is what my art advertises and promotes, and if young children are rather gullible, I say it's better for an adult to be gullible than dead! Certainly your own will to survive will agree! An abstract theorist might not agree, but hey. Medicine is practical. A doctor strives to save lives, even if this means rejuvenating the brain so that the adult is more gullible than before.
With all these things in mind, feel free to examine some recent samples of my art.
