My personal letter to Vince McMahon regarding Wrestlemania 25.
Please be aware that the seating capacity at STAPLES Center is smaller than at Madison Square Garden. Tickets will be even more scarce this year because Staples Center has a smaller capacity than any other arena or stadium in recent WrestleMania history.
I know the Scottrade center could hold more than that not to mention the Dome in St. Louis where the Rams play football. It could easily hold 65,000 plus for a wrestlemania. A couple of years ago when WWE was still on spike tv, they ran a show called Spike TV's ten things every guy should experence. One of them was attend wrestlemania. Well I don't have the money to go to Orlando or Seattle or California but St. Louis is right down the road for me. It's about time the die hard fans of the midwest got another wrestlemania. Not since wrestlemania 8 in Indy have we had anything. Chicago don't count. And just recently WWE magazine ran an article about 101 things every WWE fans should do before they die. Only two cities were listed as places you should see a wwe show in. One was of course Madison Square Garden and the other was The Scottrade center in St. Louis. The exact quote from the magazine was this. See a show in Saint Louis' Scottrade center. Formerly known as the Keil center, the arena once hosted such greats as Pat O'Conner, Dory Funk, Jr., Jack Brisco and the late Lou Thesz, and was the heart of the wrestling universe before the first WWE event was ever held. Sacred ground. Sacred ground and yet 23 years later...and still no wrestlemania! So Vince....I mean Mr. McMahon if your listening please think about this and bring mania to St. Louis so I can experience it for myself in person.
