TRYOUT INFORMATION
The Chicago Rush will host its final free-agent tryout camp of this off-season Friday, December 9, at the team?s practice facility in Hoffman Estates, the team announced today.
We are hosting a mini-camp in early December and there is the chance that some of the guys we signed just won?t fit our system,? said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. ?Therefore we will probably be looking to fill a few spots as we head into training camp in January.?
The tryout will be held at the Poplar Creek Sports Centre, located at 2350 Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with workouts beginning promptly at 9 a.m. Kickers are excluded from this tryout.
Players hoping to impress the Rush coaching staff and, potentially, win an invitation to the team?s 2006 training camp in January, are encouraged to attend.
All attending players will be put through a series of tests to measure speed, strength and agility. The tests will be followed by a series of offensive and defensive drills.
Players attending the camp from out-of-town are encouraged to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 2425 Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates. Please ask for the Chicago Rush rate when making reservations. The reservation phone number is 847-277-7889.
For those participants flying into Midway or O?Hare Airport and needing taxi service should call All-Star Cab Company at 847-531-5900 to receive a discounted flat fee rate to the Hilton Garden Inn. The rate from O?Hare to the hotel is $20 and from Midway the rate is $43.
All players interested in the tryout must register in advance by calling the Rush football operations office at (847) 252-7334. There will be a $50 registration fee and players will be required to bring their own T-shirt, practice shorts and running shoes. The tryout will be conducted on artificial turf.
