Politics, And Things That Go Bump In The Night
We often wonder why politicians who are running for office think the public is so dumb they believe everything they’re told. Is it because lying is the pattern for all political campaigns for office? What else is there for the public to believe when they are feed such information on a daily basis? Perhaps there are some voters who can’t or won’t listen and consider what they hear is believable or not, some don’t care if their agenda isn’t in danger.
Most if not all those running for the nomination for president have been involved in politics for decades. If not on a national level at least on a state level, most of the problems they insist on laying off on this administration have been there for decades. Why weren’t these congressmen and governors working to solve those problems years ago when they hadn’t yet reached the catastrophe status we are told there at today?
How much longer will politicians treat the voters like mushrooms, by keeping them in the dark and feed them [bull manure?] Hopefully this new immigration bill being railroaded through the senate will be the turning point encouraging the public to demand honesty. This legislation is the latest chicanery perpetrated by those promoting it[Kennedy and the Hispanic Lobby] were dozens of boxes supposedly with the public’s signatures supporting the immigration legislation. When the boxes were opened they were empty there never were any signatures, for shame Senator Kennedy.
There’s a Washingtonian mentality that doesn’t recognize life in America beyond its boundaries. The rest of the country has no other purpose than to provide the funds that keeps Washington functioning. Conservative or Liberal, Republican or Democrat in Washington it’s all the same, they’re the elite and we’re the peons here to do their bidding. I have no doubt if the Washingtonians had their way the presidency and congress would be selected in a drawing once every decade rather than by elections every two years.
The creation of the United States of America is unique in the annals of history. Never before or since has a small group of intellectuals come together in a common cause to create the greatest republic the world has ever known. “We the People” meant something until the last half century. The people aren’t being considered anymore, and it seems they really don’t care. Until the terrorist attack of 9/11 Americans hadn’t had a reason to be concerned. The last time they were called on to demonstrate their American patriotism was World War II, since then all the conflicts were politically motivated there was no reason for a national patriotic fervor. It seems we’ve lost the courage to keep America free from harm or maybe we just don’t recognize the danger we’re in from the terrorists. Most Americans seem to think this is just one more political war fought in someone else’s back yard. Be aware it’s coming to our back yards and soon.
The American public has become intellectually lazy when it comes to their national pride they’ve left the heavy thinking to the politicians. These are dark days it’s time for all that to change. The Muslim Terrorists are recruiting and training suicide bombers to be sent out across the world especially to America and all congress seems to worry about are a few illegal workers coming to this country. We must wonder just how qualified these people are to serve as the custodians of the nation security.
It’s time for the public to pay attention to what’s going on in our government, don’t just listen it’s time to learn what goes on around us. Demand to know more than the same old rhetoric we’ve heard in every election campaign for decades.
There’s a solution to a more accountable congress, the answer is [term limits] the same as congress put on the presidency. There are hundreds of fresh new minds able and willing to serve their country with 21st century qualifications. Congressional service was never intended to be a lifetime career. It was never intended to become part of the Washington bureaucracy.
Lets bring an end to business as usual and the Good Old Boy clubs.
