Bush Deconstructed - A New Sounding Look For Bush Fans

John T. Darrah
At first the idea of Bush being remixed may not appeasing to most people. But, one listen to the "Bush: Deconstructed" album and you will agree, this is definitely a positive union.

"Everything’s Zen [The Lhasa Fever Mix]" opens the CD. As most people will tell you, it is good to open with a fast-paced track that keeps your interest - this track does just that. Not leaving out any of the original guitar riffs that Bush is known for, while mixing in a taste of electronica; this track gives you a different perspective on "Everything’s Zen" - and it's a good one.

"Mouth [The Stingray Mix]" takes us to track #2. Starting off with an almost goth-like introduction, this track quickly puts to rest anyone that doubted remixed Bush was a good idea. A slow, purposeful beat handles your bass needs, while a nice set of drumming melody accompanies the beat. Bush's lead singer's voice goes perfectly with this track. Although, his constant mentioning of the song's title can become a little boring, don't let that deter you from pressing your repeat button on your CD player to keep enjoying this awesome track.

The aforementioned tracks are only a taste of what "Bush: Deconstructed" brings to the table. Personally, I didn't feel that anyone could do a good job at remixing Bush - boy was I wrong. These remixes bring a new feel and attitude to the table for Bush fans. Great CD.
