Karl Rove's Growing Troubles

Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana wants Karl Rove to step down from his position if he is anyway connected with the leak of the CIA operative. This came after the fourth time Rove had to sit in front of a grand jury in the investigation of the leaking of CIA officer Valeria Plame's name after her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, criticized the Bush administration's policies in Iraq.

"Even if he's not indicted, if it appears that a top adviser to the president of the United States was trying to harm someone personally for having a different public policy point of view, that's unacceptable behavior in the White House," Sen. Evan Bayh said.

Rove seems to be in more trouble with a potential supeana heading his way because of what he said in confidence to James Dobson of Focus on the Family. Dobson has now said that he shared that Miers was an evangelical christian, but the fact is everyone knew that, so why would Dobson had said he knew things he should not know? Further, why did Rove feel like he had to call Dobson? Was the same assurances given to other religious leaders?

It just seems that Rove has a big problem on his hand. One way or another he will probably have to step down. The President's top aid has loose lips and the people he shares with want to be noticed, so they will tell it nationally on their shows.
