NLL: Jax Sign Two
Jax Head Coach / General Manager Derek Keenan has just announced the signing of two more players for the 2006 season. Forward, Del Halladay, an eight year veteran, and defenseman Damien Davis.
Halladay, Portland's first ever player franchise player, has scored 196 goals and assisted 207 times for a total of 403 points. The 32 year old, Victoria, British Columbia native has a proven track record in the NLL. He has also won two Mann Cup National Championships with his hometown team the WLA Shamrocks.
Davis, a 6ft1. 215lb defenseman, was a standout for Princeton University where he won the NCAA Championship in 2001. He played 14 games for Head Coach / GM Keenan last year at Anaheim. He lives in Baltimore where he works as a stockbroker.
Both players will add bite to the 2006 roster, and will now join the six other players that have already signed for the forthcoming season.
