Another CDC warning

The CDC has now warned those that wear soft contact lenses that the solution they clean or store them in may cause blindness or loss of vision. The solution in question is made by Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) of Santa Ana California. AP medical writer Mike Stobbe has uncovered another case of insufficient studies before FDA approval.
The irony is that the CDC is calling for those that have bought this solution to discard not only the solution but also the lenses and the container. This all over one or two cases per million, I have not misspoken, one or two per million. Most vaccines and medicines have a higher rate than this with deaths associated yet the CDC remains mute about it.
We are now approaching the halfway point of 2007 and again this problem was known as far back as 2004. What do these people do just sit and watch? “There went one, oh another one, we better have a conference”. The question again arises as to how this was allowed before sales were allowed by the FDA.
The other question is how such a low ratio would justify this recall and suggestion for elimination? Compare this with other products such as medical, consumer or industrial. There are not many if any that have this one in a million rate that have received this urgency. I could name you at the least 1000 other chemicals or products that have a higher rate of adverse effects including death.
We are certainly living in very confusing times. Something that can cause acanthameba keratitis or vision loss and possible blindness is being removed but alcohol, cigarettes, pesticides, vaccines that contain toxic heavy metals, medicines that can cause suicide or serious health problems are allowed to be on the market. I might just be crazy for wondering.
I recently received an e-mail from a reader that told me just how better off my children were in today’s world. I had to wonder how this could be? Two have symptoms associated with ASD. They both complain of not feeling well or being tired. This person had a lot of nerve to say what she said. I will complain and I will ask questions as I can see what is going on. How many pills do you take on a daily basis Madame?
We all have choices and mine is to alert people that something is seriously wrong here. There are too many people that feel ill or die due to our own failure to understand ourselves and this once beautiful planet that we live on. Change is a frightening thing but the time has come to go green in all aspects of life. Time has come to respect, understand and find ways to achieve a better and fair life for all.
This one in a million is nothing compared to the 1 in 94 boys that are diagnosed with ASD every year at last count. I for one will continue to monitor the major and off beat news sources to find the truth.
I once had a cartoon on the Schafer Autism Report that stated it all too clearly. A spokesman for the government was telling reporters that mercury in medicine was not dangerous however everyone had to evacuate the building because someone broke a thermometer on the second floor. These are the contradictions that we live with. Does anyone know the truth anymore?
