DIADON

"Today the sky crackled in terror as the trinity and sanctity of the cat gods was shattered while burning their names with my blood into my left arm of tendon flexing vein popping devastation!"

Diadon November 2003

Today I read something my 24 year old son wrote during a time when I was unjustly, illegally, unethically, and immorally imprisoned at Acton Rehab Center in California almost four years ago- long story short...I've got a lot of catching up to do.

After not seeing or speaking to Diadon for quite some time, we finally connected, seven months after his first born daughter and my first born grand-daughter arrived in Portland, Oregon.

I met her for the first time, and her lovely mother in the last month or so and it was a thrill to know that Diadon has grown up to be a fine upstanding, honorable and responsible man.

I sensed that since the birth of his daughter, 9 month old Violet Acs, Diadon has gained a bit of respect for the amount of effort that goes into raising, caring for, and being responsible for a single child.

I hope and believe that he now understands better than at any time before this point that the fact that I was not a part of his life between his ages of 10 and 24 did not in any way diminish my intense love and gratitude for his existence. Diadon has made me the proudest father in the Universe!

Many people do not know the miracle of Diadon's life. He is the only human being on the planet that I know of who chose his own name before he was born. Now a lot of people might ask how that could be possible so for now I will leave it a mystery to those who are not "in the family".

Suffice it to say that when Diadon heard his name called out by his half-brother Steve Cartozian who has gone missing in action for more than two decades, he kicked from inside the womb.

The rest is history. Cat scratches have long since healed!
