I invite you to see the most extraordinary and fascinating video of the last 20 years in American politics.

You will feel unimaginably sexy and powerful. It is a talk from Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

He gives a spellbinding 5 minute speech, but you’ll be the judge. It has a surprise ending.

HERE IS THE YOUTUBE LINK to the VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sEfrFoAIn4#GU5U2spHI_4

Some people have told me that after hearing this talk that they have called their State Senators to say how they felt about it.

This is a toll free number you can use to call your Senator (you will get help on finding your senator) 1-800-833-6354

Here is my take . People who are in the U.S. illegally are not allowed to have a Social Security number. There are 20 million in the country illegally now and the number increases by 2 million per year. In order to work Illegal Aliens need to steal an identity (there are 11 million cases of stolen identity annually – perhaps you have been one of the lucky ones) or they have to commit identity fraud by making one up. Identity fraud is a felony punishable by minimum $1000 or one year and up to $10,000 and 10 years (it varies by state). Another option is NOT to pay tax. The IRS and Homeland Security say that up to 40% of the people in the country illegally do not report their income. Tax fraud is a felony. Naturally entering the country illegally is also a felony punishable by deportation and permanent disqualification from ever becoming a citizen in addition to more severe penalties after the second illegal entry.

Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Ted Kennedy, a close ally on matters slipping off the hook on crimes and advocating amnesty, would like us to believe that forgiving criminals who are in the country illegally by not enforcing the obligatory punishment, for example by not deporting them and by not putting them in jail and fining them for tax and identity theft and identity fraud IS NOT an AMNESTY.

Incidentally, U.S. citizens who cheat on their taxes or commit identity theft are put on the slammer, no questions asked. There is no way American’s can get slip by with a little slap on the wrist and a small fine for only a fraction of the taxes not paid.

Another really irritating thing for legal immigrants like me and my wife is that after working the system for years for free education, healthcare and other social benefits and not paying taxes and committing felonies, Senators Kennedy, Graham and others would like to put these scofflaws in a path to citizenship and the right to bring in multiple family members from their home country.

Why are they calling a forgiveness of crimes (amnesty) not an amnesty and why are people who are jumping over the fence put in a path to citizenship with law abiding really good high quality immigrants that are patiently waiting their turn to earn that privilege? Excuse me, but what is wrong with that picture?

Senator Lindsey Graham faces re-election in South Carolina in 2008. His views have raised quite a few eyebrows. Will he be challenged? If you are from South Carolina, you are welcome to contact me by visiting my website www.dolz.com I promise to put you in the path to putting a patriotic candidate on the ballot for Senator in place of Lindsey Graham.

If you want to make my day as a legal immigrant who has tons of friends who are legal immigrants, please call your Senator and ask politely but firmly not to vote for amnesty. The Senate is expected to vote on controversial amnesty on Monday, May 21 st. The number to call is 1-800-833-6354
