Jerry Falwell: Stop Using The Meaningless Phrase "People Of Faith"
From Nancy McClaughlin of News-Record.Com:
"Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama won't be surprised: The Rev. Jerry Falwell is not a fan.
I cannot imagine any person of faith voting for either one of them', says Falwell, an influential fundamental Baptist preacher and longtime chancellor at Liberty University. He will be in McLeansville on Sunday to dedicate Calvary Baptist Church's new sanctuary."
Jerry Falwell often claims to speak on behalf of God, but in this instance he purports to speak on behalf of billions of "people of faith."To argue that "people of faith" share the same political ideology is as asinine as stating that "people with brown hair" have a tendency to vote the same way.
"People of faith" might be interested in Falwell's opinion as to how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, but they should tell him to stop when he starts dispensing political advice.
I am a "person of faith"; I believe in entropy. Things are going to hell and they ain't gonna get any better, but that doesn't mean I have to listen to con artists like Jerry Falwell.
