Farrakhan: FEMA and Red Cross Too White

Minister Louis Farrakhan is still issuing his conspiracy theories to make black people turn on their government. In a speech at a shelter for Hurricane Katrina victims, he said, “I heard from a very reliable source that under that levee there was a 25 foot hole, which suggested that it may have been blown up, so that the water would destroy the black part of town, and where the whites lived, it would be dry.” If stupid does not identify that remark I do not know what word would.

Carl Jung defines the shadow self as the negative or inferior (undeveloped) side of the personality. It is said to be made up of all the reprehensible characteristics that each of us wish to deny, including animal tendencies that Jung claims we have inherited from our infra-human ancestors. It is said to coincide with the personal unconscious and because all of us has one it appears to be a collective phenomena.

The more unaware of the shadow we are, the blacker and denser it is. The more dissociated it is from conscious life, the more it will display a compensatory demonic dynamism. It is often projected outwards on individual or groups who are then thought to embody all the immature, evil, or repressed elements of the individual's own psyche.

Farrakhan is projecting his own hatred towards anyone who does not agree with his philosophy of hate. It is the worst towards Jews. Is this the man Black people want to have represent them in public? He has called forth black men to go to Washington for the anniversary of the Million Man March, DON’T!!! He did nothing for the black community after the event, so why go again? We do not need someone from our parent’s generation to continue a racial war on our behalf. What worked in the sixties does not work today. We are educated, or can be. We live anywhere we want, or we can. We occupy some of the highest offices in the land, or we can. We are not quoting a speech from 1712 by Willie Lynch to keep division going. Lynch said, “I have outlined a number of differences among the salves; and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use fear, distrust and envy for control purposes.”

The average American, black or white, does not know who Willie Lynch was or what he said. They do know who Farrakhan is and that he continues to divide the people while making it seem like he is uniting the blacks. He is not. He is trying to find some significance. Should hate be the legacy he leaves behind?

Why tell the people at the Power Center on September 11th that “FEMA is too White to represent us and so is the Red Cross?” He is a divider who cannot come to terms with the fact that Black people are far better off without him and the hatred he represents.
