You may have noticed that there is an increase in Moth population, especially around this time of the year. Although the moths themselves aren't damaging to fabrics, their Larvae can cause permanent damage to most common fabrics and upholstery items around the home.

Luckily though, there are various precautions and products which can be used to prevent, trap or repel problem moths. Obviously, to prevent Moths in the first place is the best answer. Usually its too late if a Larvae infestation breaks out.

Tell tale signs are often seen as multiple holes in garments or household soft furnishings. Silver threads also suggest Larvae present. A few useful tips to help prevent moths without products include: Keeping clothes clean and free of urine or sweat, or at least don't store clothes in this state. Moths thrive off this environment.

Online retailers have found a surge in the sale of moth traps, these work in various ways. pheromone scented sticky pads are the most common. They are reasonable to buy and very effective. They work in a simple yet clever way of attracting male moths by pheromones (a female sex hormone) Then simply getting stuck on the tape like surface. No male moths result in no problem eating Larvae will be produced.

Moths are insects which have adapted over the years to various conditions and environments. In fact over the past 100 years there has been significant changes depending on industrial pollution. Moths seem to be able to react fast towards changes which might endanger them.
