Saturday, April 28th, 2007 marked the passing of Arlo. He was just three years old. My wife says he was the cutest bunny ever. I used to feed him every morning. He’d always be so excited to see me and seemed famished whenever food hit his bowl. He would sometimes come up to me and put his front feet on my legs when I’d be sitting at the computer and he’d want to be petted. I’d lay on the ground and he’d let me pet him. He had the softest fur. He loved to chase the cat around. He enjoyed being outside in his cage when the weather was nice. He always seemed very happy and hoppy. His nose would twitch rapidly when his name was called. I was surprised when we first got him at how smart bunny rabbits are, and how loving. He had no signs of illness, and it seems he died in the prime of his life. We don’t know why he died, but there will be no autopsy because they are so expensive. We knew bunnies had a short life span, but we thought he’d be around for a few more years. Arlo was a great friend and a joy to have around. He will be sorely missed.
