Oklahoma City - Everything you needed to know (photos, video)

Sheila Anne OConnor
Did you know that Oklahoma City is the largest city in the state of Oklahoma? It's actually situated at the crossroads of I-35, I-40 and I-44 in the center of Oklahoma.

Unknown might be the fact that Oklahoma is the second largest city in the continental U.S., based on its geographical size.

Over 1.1 million people have their home here in the Metro Oklahoma City area.

The city has a diverse landscape and it has a great mix of both hip, urban culture alongside charming, old-fashioned neighborhoods. This makes it a fascinating place to visit (or indeed to live in.)

What about the climate you may ask. That's easy. This city has four different seasons of the year (none of that being startled by hot weather and finding out it's actually December and you haven't sent out your holiday cards yet.)

But that doesn't mean there's isn't still plenty of sunshine. In fact there's 3,000 hours of it ever year, so there lots of time (and warm weather) to make the most of the outdoor recreation and activities that abound in Oklahoma City.

Culture and commerce have not been lost either. The city has a strong western heritage that mixes well with its current hip and spirited environment. According to the Convention and Visitors Bureau, "There are festivals, national sporting events, treasure-filled museums and a variety of districts highlighting arts and entertainment. The possibilities for adventure and fun in Oklahoma City are endless."

We have to agree. Don't miss it.
