The Guilt of Conservatives

Ever since the U.S. aristocracy’s (especially Richard Mellon Scaife’s) concentrated financial campaign to defame liberalism after the landslide political defeat of conservative Republican U.S. Presidential nominee Barry Goldwater in 1964, America’s conservatives have become more and more proud to be conservative, and America’s liberals have become increasingly ashamed to admit that they’re liberals.
However, here is the actual historical record of conservatism — conservatism’s reality — and it’s one of profound shame:
Conservatives in ancient Rome supported the Emperor’s having anyone crucified who challenged in any way the Emperor’s right to appoint the kings in the occupied territories. As a result, conservatives backed the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, who claimed to be the “King of the Jews” despite Rome’s having appointed the Herodian family as the sole occupants of that post of honor and privilege. Thus, Jesus was crucified by conservatives, and his crucifixion was supported by conservatives.
Conservatives backed slavery, as an essential part of God’s ordained hierarchy. (Slavery was endorsed in both the Old and New Testaments.)
Conservatives opposed women’s obtaining the right to vote.
Conservatives opposed equality of rights for all “races.”
Conservatives opposed equality of rights for hetero- and homo-sexuals.
In every society, conservatives have championed every genocide that has been perpetrated against every minority “race” (Jews, Tutsis, non-Communists in Cambodia, etc.).
In every society, conservatives have been a real and present threat to every minority.
In every society where conservatives have been in power without effective challenge by liberals, conservatives have wrecked the nation. Yet while they’ve done so, they have proclaimed themselves to be the only patriots, and they have painted liberals as being the threat to the nation and even as being the outright “traitors” — which the conservatives actually were.
The guilt of conservatives is simply too massive to condemn adequately.
Given this horrendous historical record, should conservatives be in control; and, if not, then what should be done with them, and how should it be done to them? No answer is presented here, but asking this question is essential, and is not elsewhere done, which is why it is asked here, as one of the most difficult and crucially important questions for any society to ponder.
Conservatives pressed the United States to invade Vietnam — and so, we did.
Conservatives pressed the United States to invade Iraq — and so, we did.
Conservatives have drained America’s treasury and blood, while giving America itself a bad name — a nation which used to be admired around the world.
Conservatives ran up a massive federal debt in the U.S. while draining away our blood and honor, and delaying disastrously America’s joining the battle against global warming.
The time to ponder what to do with, and to, conservatives has certainly arrived.
Certainly, one thing is a sin to do in any democracy — to vote for conservatives.
Beyond that — there’s where the question is encountered. What shall be done with them? They are dangerous to the nation, so: What should be done?
Time after time, conservatives have been proven wrong. They were wrong that slavery is right. They were wrong that oppression of women is right. They were wrong that oppression of homosexuals is right. They were wrong that WMD had been proven to exist in Iraq. They are fonts of dangerous frauds, and lies, and delusions, one right after another, throughout all time.
So: what should be done to them, and how?
How can we protect ourselves from them?
When shall we start, and what shall we do?
Action must finally be taken, to protect the world from conservatives.
