The Bear's Den: "The Green Machine – A Chicago Money Dream"

David Walks-As-Bear
Don´tcha just love green? I mean, ever since the last presidential election, when the jade people took over government, we´ve had so much to be down right "green with envy" about, eh. Heck, I´m shki-pak-ya (green) with jealousy just thinking about it. I mean, some get to make a ton of cash in this new-age game and nevvvvver have to pay the piper for the wrong-doing. Being that kind´a green could make even the Jolly Green Giant be okay with his hue – here what I´m say´n? But alas, I can never be emerald, because I´m just a lowly 'red'...skin, and a common, standard model #302 U.S. Citizen. If that were me doing these kinds of despicable, unethical and illicit things – my butt would be in jail faster than the numbers fly on a gas pump, and… I´d be redder than most Indians due to the vast amounts of hot water I´d be in. So, I dare not dally in being "green" because I... am not from Chicago.

Last year, Obama visited his really good pals at sweet ole Solyndra Solar – a new-wave green factory out on Eutopialand (aka: California). As the cameras flashed, and video ran, our Whitehouse dweller, Barrack, said that Solyndra Solar… "is a model of government investment in ´Green Technology´". Well ain´t that the truth. Some model, indeed. Obama, and the people who run him, gave the company five hundred and thirty five million ($535,000,000) tax-payer dollars in free start-up money. Now, whether or not the administration ever expected to get this coin back… well, that´s debatable, eh. It always is in Chicago-style deals like this. Anyhow, on September 7, 2011, the company fired their 1000 workers – without so much as a ´sorry ´bout that´ – and declared bankruptcy. By doing so, they wipe out pay-back ties to all that dough, and get to keep the 535 million. Um-hmm, and even though the company is in Eutopialand (aka: California) this is still how you do it – Chicago-style – and this administration is from the Windy City. But uh-oh. On September 8, 2011, the screams of Republicans led to a federal raid of poor ole Solyndra Solar. Sad, but it does happen sometimes. Even Chicago´s own – Capone – got nabbed, eh.

Almost every time I hear the word "Green" in connection with the economy, it brings to my mind the image of puppy excrement… because… they´re both so much alike. They smell terrible, are both nasty and runny and literally… go everywhere. It´s been that way since this lime farce began. Obama and those running him couldn´t care less about the environment, in my opinion. If I ever needed proof of that, it was when the U.S. Coast Guard Commandant stood before live cameras and said with a straight face: ´Well… no one has requested… that we accept the offers of these foreign nations to help with the oil-spill.´ Hmm. What´d that mean – huh? No one requested? Why in the world weren´t we doing the requesting, for crying out loud. Ahh, well that would´ve meant trouble, because unions had a hold there and foreign vessels couldn´t be allowed to infringe on their territory – even though it meant devastation to our coasts and peoples' livelihoods. There were oodles of foreign ships with the capability to "suck up" the mess up in heartbeat, just standing by, waiting to help. But back-room Chicago-style deals – akin to the Solyndra pact – put a kibosh to that. Yep, and the environment got hurt, and people lost their jobs… much the same as they have at Barrack´s "model of government investment in ´Green Technology´". Well, as they say in the Whitehouse these days… "Into every life a little rain must fall - que sara, sara".

Oh, and please don´t misunderstand. It sure isn´t that I think that the Republicans are any more conservation-orientated – uh-uh. It´s just that they don´t lie about their indifference, and don´t hide behind a lie about their true aim to ´make mullah´, eh. I don´t know how many folks are aware of this, but American Indians cannot legally own real eagle feathers. Nope – they can´t. Even though eagle feathers are paramount to our spiritual well-being, and are, and have always been, intertwined with our culture, the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act makes it a felony to have even one, single, solitary eagle feather – even if it was acquired humanely, and even if you´re an Indian. Many an Indian has paid the fine and done the time because they violated this act. See, the act states that you cannot take, possess, sell, purchase, barter for, offer to sell, purchase or trade, transport, export or import, any bald or golden eagle, alive or dead, including any part, nest, or egg. Yeah, and a violation of any provision of this act will get the average John or Joan Q. Citizen… a maximum fine of $5,000 and/or one year imprisonment. It´s $10,000, and/or two years in prison for a second conviction. But have no fear, eh. I mean, these felony raptor convictions carry a maximum fine of $250,000 so you´ll not be totally broke when you pay the ticket, eh. Ain´t that marvey?

And, here´s the real kicker: the fine doubles for ANY organization that harms an eagle, in ANYWAY, whatsoever. Yet, all across this country, an average of 1000 eagles are killed every single day… by the big, new, massive blades belonging to wind turbines of the Green Agenda. Yet, this means nothing to the so-called ´environmentalists´ in power. Hey, there´s shady money in them there big fans, and if a few measly eagles have ta get whacked – then so be it. Man, what'a dream. But there better not be one low-down Injun… that gets caught with a eagle feather... or the wrath of the mighty Green Government Machine will fall on them like… well… a big windmill, eh. Still… I´m thinking that these new Chicago-style wind power companies – would be considered "organizations" for doubling the fine. Well – maybe not. I could be wrong. I mean… I ain´t from Chicago.
