Rep. Tim Mahoney served one term in the House from 2007 through 2009. Mahoney ran for re-election, but his numerous alleged affairs led to his defeat.
It's doubtful that Mahoney will ever run for public office again, if his constituents didn't care for Mahoney the womanizer they aren't going to be too thrilled with Mahoney the drunk.
Mahoney claims that he is innocent, he insists he did the right thing by pulling over. Mahoney may be a playboy and an alcoholic, but he's 100 percent correct. The former congressman realized he was too inebriated to continue driving, and he pulled over so he wouldn't be a hazard.
In Florida drunk drivers will be encouraged to drive all the way home, because if they pull over to sleep it off they will be arrested by a moron cop. The police officer should have asked Mahoney for dating tips, and given him a ride home.
