Freedom of speech is an inviolate basic right in free societies, which the congress shall not pass any laws abridging the right to.

American corrupt elected officials can’t seal America’s borders and protect citizens from illegal alien invasion but they are going to seal our mouths so we can’t express our speech free of government interference. Authoritarian radical left wingers take freedoms under bogus guise of providing human rights and freedom for the oppressed as they destroy our freedoms and oppress us. They want to eliminate freedom of speech under the guise eliminating hate speech. It has already taken hold on college campuses and in many cities where they have banned specific words, and expression of speech including forms of laughter.

This is not what America is about. America can not stand under tyranny of either left wing or right wing radical groups who restrict our freedom to express our thoughts. Totalitarian government can not flourish in an environment of individual freedoms. We must continue to fight for constitutional freedoms for all.

American free speech is derived from the concept of being able to speak freely about any topic one chooses without fear of being penalized as long as it is truthful and does not cause an imminent threat of lawlessness. That freedom was provided within specific restrictions that have been modified over the years.

In 1919 Oliver Wendell Holmes Supreme Court Justice said there could be a restriction on constitutional defined freedom of speech in those instances where speech constituted a clear and present danger (to government during war). He compared it to screaming fire in a crowded theater when there was no fire. That would create a clear and present danger to those caught up in the panic.

In 1969 the Supreme Court of the United States redefined restriction of freedom of speech to those instances where “imminent lawless action” could occur without ability to summon a police officer to prevent it. That is the sole restriction American restriction on speech.

1969 liberalization of freedom of speech (which by constitutional standards is unrestricted) occurred during a time when people were objecting to civil rights speeches they argued was a clear and present danger that could incite riots. It came at a time when people were protesting the war in Viet Nam by burning the American Flag and their draft cards. It was a moment in time when people were protesting the government’s actions.

Current efforts to redefine freedom of speech with a more restrictive subjective standard of “hate” or “offensive” language as the test to curb our freedom of speech invites totalitarianism.

Socialist Europe, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia have enacted such legislation with apparent intent to “improve relationships between the races” and end discrimination with a chilling affect on individual rights. The laws are an authoritarian socialist fascist concept intended to legislate selective morality, political ideology and social values the state defines as acceptable. It is clearly an infringement on freedom of speech that American founding fathers fought and died to establish.

Several cities in the United States have started the process of defining by resolution which words can and can not be uttered in public to assure no one is offended. That has led to censorship based on subjective standards of who is offended and the offended person’s level of sensitivity without objective statements of law that clearly define unacceptable behavior.

Proposed hate speech legislation can not be drafted and presented without violating intent of the law to prevent uttering words outlawed and permits administrative enforcement authority to subjectively define when and where any individual has uttered a word or statement they find offensive and for which we can be jailed. That means more imprisonment of American citizens by the likes of the Bushite Coup Department of Injustice and Alberto Gonzales or the media pundits.


William O. Douglas Supreme Court Justice (1898-1980) “The privacy and dignity of our citizens [are] being whittled away by sometimes imperceptible steps. Taken individually, each step may be of little consequence. But when viewed as a whole, there begins to emerge a society quite unlike any we have seen a society in which government may intrude into the secret regions of a [person’s] life."

World Net Daily reports in its April 13, 2007 exclusive: David Brock and his Media Matters for America group are after conservative talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, John Gibson and Michael Smerconish. Media Matters for America was "developed" with help from the Center for American Progress, funded by billionaire George Soros, a major financial backer of the Democratic Party and allied groups such as MoveOn.org.

Media Matters defines “its responsibility” as: “a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.”

Media Matters lacks judicial authority and responsibility to define what legal free speech is. It is no more America’s “Ministry of Truth” than any other media personnel. They like all of us have the right to freely express their opinions as long as they don’t create a situation of imminent lawlessness with out the ability to have police accessible to maintain order. No group has the right to restrict freedom of expression in a free society.

Brock is backing a "Renew the Fairness Doctrine" campaign to have the Federal Communications Commission monitor and regulate talk radio currently dominated by conservative hosts. Those radio organizations are responding to public demand for the opportunity to express their opinions on political topics of the day. No constitutional provision permits restriction of free speech because someone doesn’t like what the public wants. If there is no demand for liberal talk show hosts, (who have equal access to the airwaves), they need to find other work.

John F. Kennedy “We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

Talk radio is similar to what a lot of newspapers have become, tabloid journalism full of political demagogues who accept no position but their own. It appeals to those who don’t think for themselves and have similar tabloid type tastes. Liberals need to reshape their presentation to succeed in talk radio. They must become more mainstream and accepting of popular views. They can not accomplish goals of gaining more political power by restricting free speech.

Other leftwing organizations want to promote the Humanist religion by destroying Christianity. Hate speech legislation in other countries has established it an offense worthy of imprisonment for preachers to include statements about homosexuality in their sermons. It is illegal to openly express opposition to homosexuality in any format regardless of religious belief.

Once the mob mentality tabloid feeding frenzy starts on the person targeted for hate speech media lynching there is no one with courage to defend targeted victims. They know they can be the next victim who is jailed for saying what they think or believe.

America was built on the premise Government would not infringe on individual rights to practice the religion of their choice. Religion of Humanism can only succeed if basic religious institutions are destroyed and replaced with a strict loyalty to government in a global authoritarian society. Communist Russia, China and multiple other dictatorial governments including Hitler in Germany all attacked religious institutions to destroy loyalty to anything other than the state. There is not enough room for both God and tyranny in any government.

Internet sites like we are writing in now will be monitored and free speech restricted. The next step is book burnings and one of the first books to be burned will be the Bible because of its references to homosexuality.

True patriots must wake up to the threat at hand. Criminalization of the words “nappy,” “Ni—r,” (already locked out on many internet sites), “faggot” “Easter” “Christmas” or anything the authoritarian new “Ministry of Truth” may find unacceptable, may be the dividing line between freedom and slavery for all of us. Be glad someone can say what they choose without being jailed while you can. Education Camps will have to teach us how to reform our thoughts and become more uniform in accordance with the standard design of the authoritarian hate speech police.
