Broadening My Good Health Spectrum

A few months ago, I made a decision that radically changed how I live my life. While you might be preparing yourself to hear about a religious experience, my decision was actually more of a health-based one. An "in-body" experience, you might call it. I basically just came to the realization that I only have one body for this life and I really ought to be taking better care of it. I decided that I was going to start treating my body with more respect and, hopefully, it would reciprocate by functioning at optimum levels for years to come.

I started out with the classics: I exercised more and ate less. When I did eat, I focused on fresh fruits and veggies and tried to avoid processed foods and greasy, fatty meats. I started taking a daily vitamin and getting up early enough to get about 15 minutes of meditation in before I got ready for work. I was doing pretty well. However, I was leaving something out: fish oil.

In order to be fully healthy, your body needs a full complement of the nutrients that it requires in order to function at its best capacity. One of the most important types of nutrient is the omega 3 fatty acid, an essential nutrient that plays a key role in heart health that your body cannot synthesize on its own. Most people who eat a western diet - even a healthy one - do not get nearly enough omega 3s in their diet. And to make things more complicated, you would need to eat several pounds of fish a day in order to have a shot at getting an adequate dose of omega 3!


I decided to broaden my health spectrum and insure that I was getting enough omega 3 fatty acids the easy way: by taking a daily omega 3 fish oil supplements. It's fast, easy and I am feeling more amazing than ever.
