April Woes Or One Less To Bother About

Judy Ramsook
For the first time in a long time, one thing people would not have to worry about doing in April is changing their clocks, watches and time pieces one hour ahead. As we all know, that was already done in the month of March.

So as far as that is concerned, no one will wake up Sunday morning wondering or asking the person next to him/her what the real time is. Also if you happen to be at your local or favourite bar at two AM in the early Sunday morning hour, or late Saturday night, especially if you are in a place where all the bars close at two AM, that is all that will happen.

Two AM will not magically turn into three AM. That was already enjoyed, done and spent in March when the daylight savings time changed. One can look forward to this when the time goes back one hour in November though.

But if one is pretty much the prankster, there is one entire day set aside for this during the month of April. In case some of you forgot, come April first is April Fool’s Day. People who do not enjoy being the victims of such pranks may not look forward to this day. At least not as much as the person who enjoys putting some of those pranks to good use.

For this is the day most pranksters live for. Some of the overly creative ones already have their pranks thought out and planned ahead of time. Others may wait until the day arrives to put their adrenalin filled, spontaneous, prank into action. We are all different.

On a personal note though, I would first check a person’s mood before placing such a prank into action. For you may not know what the person you are about to pull that prank on has been through recently.

Maybe he/she had a bad dream or nightmare the night before, or an unpleasant experience out in real life. And remember, some persons are more easily scared than others, so if you are going to try and frighten someone, watch out for the repurcussions or the after effects.
