Wouldn’t it be nice if doctors had to place a score in the waiting room, much like the Health Department requires restaurants to display? Not just informing us of the cleanliness of the place, but their grades from medical school, the number of successful and unsuccessful treatments, the average number of prescriptions per patient and how many deaths have occurred. The sad truth is that medicine is a business and even sadder is the fact we are more likely to request references from the guy fixing our sink or cutting our hair, and they are easier to obtain, than from the doctor who we put in charge of our health.
