Writers: Get Published & Get Paid

Mary Anne Simpson

Getting paid to do what you like to do is a lifestyle that cannot be beat. Over the past years I have produced various pieces of written content. If I were to estimate the number of lines of words I produced as a lawyer the number would be over a million.

In my employment position as a medical survey editor I reviewed more than 250,000 lines of words. In other work capacities I have reviewed, corrected and analyzed thousands of lines of words.

I have freelanced as a writer and up until the last year received only sporadic remuneration for my efforts. That all changed when I began writing for Associated Content and American Chronicle.

Professional writers will tell you that if you want to be a writer you need to write continuously. I have found that is probably the truest statement ever made. Writing for a commercial audience is very different from any form of writing that I have experienced. Writing for a community web site has a personality of its own.

As the time goes by and you produce article after article you begin to see the expectations of the community. That is not to say you will produce winning articles each time, but it does become easier to figure out the winning formula. The Associated Content web site allows anyone to produce articles on a range of subjects. There is also a video and audio publishing section.

There are some very helpful veteran content producers who provide great articles on the best way to produce great articles and handy explanations of the various functions of the publishing section. See Barefoot,http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/184272/how_to_use_the_associated_content_publishing.html .

In addition there are tutorials on how to best utilize the various templates on Associated Content. The best part is the education you receive in writing content that utilize key words that trigger readership.

Anyone who is interested in writing content for the Internet should become familiar with http://textalyser.net/. This free service allows you to not only do an accurate word count, but provides an analysis of strong word choices.

The compensation you receive depends on the number of words, the value of the article and special offers made by the editors of Associated Content. In addition AC has just started a bonus program providing monthly bonuses for published articles. The formula for payment of the bonuses depends on the number of views by readers of the writers articles.

The articles submitted and published are paid at a set sum usually between $7. and $15. Payment for published articles is made three times per week. The bonuses are paid once per month on page views. You can submit your published article to numerous bookmarking sites and individuals on your buddy list.

The writer community at Associated Content is varied and unique. Many of the authors have specific knowledge of subject matter or have done extensive research in the areas they write articles. I have found reviews of products, T.V. shows and movies that were invaluable in making a final decision to go for it.

American Chronicle does not pay for articles submitted, but I have received some great feedback from readers on articles I have written. The publishers of American Chronicle are very helpful to authors.

There is a writing group that offers valuable feedback to authors of American Chronicle. The authors on American Chronicle are a notch above most on-line publishing sites. I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the articles written by American Chronicle authors.

If you would like to see for yourself if this something that might fit into your lifestyle, check it out. No cost, no obligation.
