More on Global Warming

Gordon K. Glatz
I am not a scientist, or even a collage graduate. I only know what I have learned from 71 years of life on this planet. I go by what logic tells me is correct. I am not ignoring any other possibilities, or pretending they don't exist.

All the theories in the world prove nothing, that is why they are called theories. Down through history there have been many theories put to the science community, which have met with pro and con responses from not only the scientist, but the general public. Some have been accepted as truth's only to be found wrong later on.

The earth has gone through drastic changes down through history, the cause of which many learned men have tried to explain, with what they feel is proof from observations of one kind or another.

Many of these seem logical, and have been accepted, but not proven. One for example is the earth having changed its tilt on its axes, because of the build up of ice on the poles. This seems logical to many, and is believed by many to be true. They say that different areas of the land was frozen over, then what is covered in ice now. Some contribute this to the cause of the Ice Age.

Now the earth revolves on it's axes, and centrifugal force accounts for the bulging at the equator, and we have ice at both poles. Although the ice is not exactly the same volume at both poles, it is probable quite close. The ice would have to build up to a much larger extent on one pole to off balance the earth and cause it to tilt over.

I do you know some thing about spinning objects, since this has been one of my subjects of interest for years. If you take a bicycle wheel, and hold on to the axal with both hands, one on each side while it is spinning. How hard is it to change its plane of spin? It is very hard, and is the principle used in gyro's. The same thing applies to the earth, it would take a whole lot more force to change it's tilt. You would have to have a tremendous amount of ice on one pole more then the other. How would this happen when the earth poles are exposed to the sun equally because of the tilt? There are probable many people who would have some other theory to explain this, or up hold this one.

The earth in the past may have had a population as large as it does now, I don't know, but they didn't have the technology we have discovered since 1900. So early man did not have the means to add to the already naturally produced quantities of harmful emissions. Most of these were kept in check, by a much more abundant covering of plant life, and the oceans ability was better then to help in this cleaning process. Humans were not adding chemicals, or nuclear waste to the air, water, and soil, or creating new viruses to kill, or make people sick.

It took millions of years for the oil reserves to form all over this earth, and man kind has managed to burn nearly all of it with in about 100 years. I do not know the exact total number of barrels of oil that was, but I am sure it has been in the billions, and all the by products from that burning has been released to the air. And that does not included all the coal, natural gas, and any other form of fossil fuel we have burnt also.

There are people who will fight to the end defending man's right to destroy this planet, rather then admit we are guilty. Why? To keep the modern life styles they have become accustom to, and the wealth it generates.
