Title: The Vendetta Factor

AUTHOR: Tim Smith

Vendetta (noun)—a bitter blood feud between two families motivated by lust for revenge; an act or attitude borne of vengeance.” So states the book before the Prologue. I wanted to read further to see who and what the vendetta is all about.

Nick Seven, Ex-CIA, now a club owner in Florida is pulled into the wicked web of the Musante Family and Dominic Ferrone, heir to the Scarletti Family of New York who wants to take over the Musante Family’s area. Enter the Department of Justice via the FBI to complicate Nick’s life even more. What happens? Read the book to find out.

Mr. Smith has created a hard-boiled character in Nick Seven. One that is full of life and believable. His settings and descriptions of the areas of Florida are well written and transport the reader there. The supporting cast of characters are well presented and the story will keep the reader wanting to read on and on. I found the plot to be not just your average Mafia story, but one that has some interesting twists to it.

Mr. Smith is an award-winning author who resides in Dayton, Ohio. His other books are Memories Die Last and Never Trust Your Dreams. Memories Die Last was awarded the Allbooks Review Editor’s Choice Award a few years ago. His character, Nick Seven, is back for another adventure.

This story has some profanity and erotica. For those that might not wish to read about it, this book isn’t for you. However, if you are not easily offended, you will enjoy this story about Nick Seven and how two mafia families in Florida affected his life. I found the story interesting and lively, to say the least. If you want to read an above average book, this one is it. Reviewer: Bob Medak, Allbooks Reviews.
