Life after Divorce, one woman's story.

Title: Vintage Years

AUTHOR: Janet A. Nicolet

Janet was thrilled to relocate to a foreign country for her husband’s new teaching post. Their four kids were now adults, so the couple could freely travel and have new adventures. Janet’s elation turned to devastation when her husband announced he wanted a divorce.

Janet never imagined she would find herself homeless, jobless, and without transportation in a foreign country. She went from having everything to having only two suitcases full of clothes. It was solely her strong belief in God’s love and mercy which gave her the strength to continually put one foot in front of the other when she wasn’t confident she had the physical ability to do so.

Vintage Years is Janet Nicolet’s story told in a straightforward thoughtful manner. Although there is justifiable anger toward her ex-husband, the author does not focus on it. She is able to tell her story of a heart reborn with an understanding and compassion that most divorcees would find impossible. Recovery was not easy and Janet shares examples of “Whenever I have tried to follow my own plans, they have ALWAYS ended disastrously.” She proves that with faith and trust in God, great things are possible.

Janet Nicolet is a freelance writer living in Florida. She has lived and traveled on four continents. She is a divorced mother of four, grandmother of ten, and is active in her church. Her goal is to encourage others through her books and articles.

Vintage Years is a frank look at how one woman moved on after her world literally fell apart. It is not spiteful or full of regret; instead it is focused on moving forward into a fulfilling and rewarding life. This is a great inspiring and spiritual read. Reviewer: Lisa Haselton, Allbooks Reviews.
