Tighter Pores in Three Easy Steps
Step 1: Deeply cleanse your pores
My favorite way to deeply cleanse the skin is using a steamed wash cloth. You can do this by placing a damp washcloth in the microwave for 45 seconds. Let the cloth cool for 10-20 seconds. Next, apply the cloth to your face to allow the steam and heat to melt away the oils that clog and enlarge your pores.
You can repeat this step for three times in one setting. Once you’re done, you should actually be able to feel your skin breathing again. This is your surefire sign that your skin is on the healthy track and that your pores are getting minmized.
(Note if you are concerned about an excess of microbes in your wash cloth, researchers have found that placing cleansing cloths in the microwave for two minutes will kill all the bacteria on the cloth.)
Step 2: Use a clay mask
After you’ve cleansed your face with the steamed wash cloth, it is now the ideal time to apply a clay mask. Like the steamed cloth, the clay mask will further help draw excess oils away from the pores and help restore the minimal size of the pore. Also, the clay will genlty pull the skin and increase the blood circulation around the face. This suction encourages the removal of toxins away from the skin to areas of the body were the waste can be properly expelled.
Step 3: Drink up some mineral water
Now that you have sucked all the yucky crap out of your pores, you can continue to enjoy tight pores on a daily basis by drinking mineral water. If you doubt this tactic, relax because a study published in Skin Research and Technology examined the effects of drinking natural mineral water on moisture levels of people with dry skin.
Men and women between the ages of 49 and 66 participated in the study. A dermatologist examined the skin color, thickness, elasticity, roughness and skin surface hydration on the forearms study volunteers. After increasing consumption of mineral water, the subjects noted improvement in the skin’s softness, smoothness and overall moisture level. The researchers agreed that drinking mineral water was a natural way to compliment one’s cosmetic regime.
Moreover, mineral water can provide the nutrients copper, selenium and sulfur, which are needed for healthy skin.
So drink some mineral water, it’s an easy way to help your skin stay healthy and keep your pores tiny.
In summary, to continue having tight pores, you’ll need to practice pore minimizing habits on a daily basis. Without this daily upkeep, your pores will once again become crowded with waste and decline in health. As a simple starter routine, you can do step one once everyday in the morning or night. Perform step two at least once a week. Use the clay mask more frequently if your skin is severely congested. And as for the water, do this everyday. Enjoy your tighter pores.
