Ponderings of a Restless Mind
I consider myself a follower of Christ and Jesus taught that we should seek, but he also stated that the solitary and elect will find their way into the kingdom. There are few theories I find too ridiculous to explore and even fewer that I will step onto my soapbox to support. My beliefs are simple, I think it is wrong to judge others, I think gossip is contemptible and I think our job as humans is to create, learn and become brighter lights for the good of the Universe. I have been accused of being both naïve and jaded and both statements are correct.
We have been told that there are mysteries aplenty on the earth; we have been told that God’s vastness is beyond our comprehension and yet we seek to contain that greatness in books, laws and rules. And I wonder if we are limiting ourselves by the belief that we know it all and I also wonder if we are creating our future by staying firmly in the small enclosure of our arrogance.
Yes, I write about off-the-wall ideas, chemtrails, UFOs and supposed conspiracy theories because I have always been drawn to oddities and I am seeking. I write about chemtrails because I see them and they disturb me. I write about UFOs because I dream about them and they intrigue me. I write about conspiracy because I remember high school and many office jobs I have held and I’ve witnessed the way folks seem to enjoy conspiring against each other.
I have found in recent years that the more I learn, the less I know and that is okay with me. It is not my job to know, but it is my responsibility to seek and question. I don’t know if we are on the wheel of life or the road to heaven, but I am confident that there is more to the Universe and the existence of God that we can contain in words, books and beliefs. I think that if we humans spent a tenth of the time exploring our own minds and motivations, as we do the actions of others, this world would be a nicer place. I also think that if we put half the energy into considering other people’s ideas, as we do condemning them, we could actually see the heaven that Jesus stated was all around us. I also understand that the greatest thing we could do for our fellow human beings is rise above the fear that is so pervasive on the earth and open our hearts.
