A Heart for Community: Lifelong Salinas resident celebrates five years with PODS®

Hometown hero Alex Fragoso never misses an opportunity to meet someone new.

(MONTEREY, Calif.) – You would think after nearly 45 years as a resident of Salinas, Alex Fragoso has met just about everyone in the community, yet this is precisely what he looks forward to most in his daily responsibilities as a territory manager for PODS of Monterey County.

Celebrating five years with the company, Fragoso said working with PODS® has provided the opportunity to donate logistics services to local nonprofits and organizations that can benefit from portable storage services.

"I am most proud of how PODS contributes to our local communities in times of need," Fragoso said. "Our franchise has provided services to The Housing Authority, Women´s Crisis Center, Salvation Army, St. Vincent De Paul Society, American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, local Boy Scout Troops, Salinas United Business Association, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross, Friends of the SPCA and regional food banks."

In his personal time, Fragoso volunteers with the Salinas Police Athletic League, Monterey County Sheriff´s Association and middle and high schools in Salinas and Monterey. He also enjoys being an active member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and is committed to assisting organizers in the success of the annual California International Airshow and California Rodeo Salinas.

Married to Norma, he says both share a passion for customer service and a heart for their hometown, pitching in where they can to help make a difference.

Jennifer Curtis, Senior Vice President / General Manager
Jennifer´s diverse background includes 16 years of experience in marketing management and graphic design with work in the video game industry and with Paramount Studios. Jennifer´s strength lies in her ability to create branding that translates seamlessly through a variety of media. Jennifer is analytical and multifaceted: able to write copy, direct production, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Tina Vervoorn, Public Relations Manager
Tina has more than 10 years of experience working as a journalist, editor, photographer and designer for a major newspaper. At CMS, she maintains positive relationships with local and national media outlets and crafts enticing press releases and supporting documents to ensure optimal coverage in various media. Tina is responsible for all public relations efforts, original blog writing and publicity with the media.
