Chris Chaos & Matt Back vs. The HNIC (Apollo & JB Thunder): If you thought the HNIC has a general disdain for Portland on Tuesday nights, you should see it when they hit Northwestern Parkway on a Saturday night! The unruly tandem is now proclaiming they they should be the CCW Tag Team Champions, and continuing their winning ways against the makeshift combo of Chris Chaos and the masked Matt Back would be just another brick in their case.

While Apollo and JB Thunder kickstarted the match early by jumping Chaos and Back from behind, in a matter of seconds, the two had turned the tables on their more experienced opponents. Settling down, Chaos, in his CCW debut, kept Apollo grounded, a smart move given the untapped power that Apollo can draw on from out of nowhere. Tagging in the masked Back, things were not improving that much for the HNIC, as Back continued the pace with much the same success. Tagging in, JB Thunder was quickly rocked and rolled from the ring.

Making it back in, JB would lock up with Chaos in a test of strength, which Chaos would win due to his size and leverage advantages. Back would re-enter the match, but soon fell victim to the HNIC's at-times merciless pursuit of victory...or violence, I can't remember which...either way, the veteran tag team is no slouch in either category. Tagging Apollo in, JB and the crowd alike were treated to a show of power, as Apollo held the masked half of the opposition high for a vertical suplex for nearly a minute flat, taking the time to pose it up for the fans before planting Back hard to the canvas.

While the HNIC had reverted to their normal playbook, Chris Chaos would soon get the tag and proceed to start cleaning house, driving JB to the mat with a powerslam for a near fall, but once Apollo broke it up, all hell broke loose between the four men. While Chaos and Back were looking to pull even, maybe even pull up to the upset win, an unfortunate chain of circumstances was about to go down. After fighting his way from the corner, Chaos was low-bridged, leaving Back in a bad 2-on-1 disadvantage, which JB and Apollo used efficiently and with finality, scoring the infamous N**** Please! top rope legdrop to put Back down for the three.

With The HNIC starting to assert their claim for the CCW Tag Team titles, more wins like this are likely in the coming weeks, although it's a safe bet that more of their opponents will be a little more seasoned teaming together. For Chaos and Back, it was a solid appearance that shows good things in store for both men on down the road.

Winners of the Match: The HNIC, by pinfall

Foster Homes vs. Shawn Dolphin: The brash young Canadian was back down south for some of the finest indie action around, courtesy of Classic Championship Wrestling. Returning to the ring tonight to face off with Dolphin was Foster Homes, an inexperienced but popular up-and-comer.

Dolphin would start out the match working over Homes' arm, but a reversal soon followed, and the rookie was keeping Dolphin grounded, and more importantly, in the middle of the ring. Going to the eyes to regain control, Dolphin would switch gears with a standing side headlock. Foster would reverse this as well, perhaps getting under Dolphin's skin a bit, as he would use a handful of hair to take Homes to the canvas - hard. Jawing with the fans might not have been the best idea for Dolphin, as this led to him telegraphing a big elbow drop. Following up with a deep arm drag, Homes had to gain a bit of satisfaction watching his opponent threaten to walk out on the match! Breaking the count at four, Dolphin would find no rest for the wicked, as Homes was waiting to deliver two big clotheslines and a body slam to gain the first near-fall of the match-up. While Dolphin would work Homes into the corner for some shoulder charges, Homes was maybe thinking a move ahead, rolling him up for another two count. Firing up, Homes would starting winging chops from corner to corner before a double clothesline left both men struggling to make it back to their feet.

Frustrated by the resilience of Foster Homes, Dolphin would start brawling him down, grabbing a chair from ringside, but in plain sight of the referee! As the chair was being taken away from Dolphin, a Plan B was unfolding as he pulled a chain from his tights, but Homes had other ideas, throwing up the Crucifix on an unsuspecting Dolphin to gain the three count, as well as a raucous ovation from the CCW faithful!

Winner of the Match: Foster Homes, by pinfall.

Erik Matthews vs. Elmore Fudd (w/Mrs. Elma Fudd): With a hard Tuesday staring down the Fudds, as they will face Matt Maverick and Lincoln Walker in a big tag team match, they hit ringside looking for a bit of a better start to their weekend, as Elmore was stepping into the ring to face the challenge of CCW prospect "The Dynasty" Erik Matthews.

While the two started out evenly at the opening bell, Fudd was working a step quicker than Matthews, using the odd handful of hair to keep on top of his opponent, at least until Matthews took hold of Fudd's goatee to grab some payback. The momentum would not be Matthews for long, however, as Elma Fudd was ready and waiting on the outside to trip up the rookie, yet to grow the required extra set of eyes in the back of his head. Not that it helps much against Mrs. Fudd. Capitalizing, Fudd hit a big legdrop for a near-fall before slowing the match down to his more methodical likings, which also allowed Mrs. Fudd some time to choke Matthews. Dumping him back on the arena floor, Matthews caught some boots from the Mrs., but he caught a second wind, battling back into the match. Unfortunately for Matthews, Fudd was still ahead a page in the playbook, as he would score the pin (with a little help from the ropes) after yet more interference!

At ringside, Lincoln Walker, handling the ring announcing duties tonight, had seen enough. Along with Matt Maverick and a virtual laundry list of fellow CCW stars who have fallen into the 'L' column as a result of the Fudds' treachery, he hit the ring to argue Matthews' case, but to no avail. While this was proving unsuccessful, Matthews would get another shot at Fudd, nailing him from behind and pinning him, with Walker counting the three and declaring Matthews the winner! This latest exchange between Walker and the Fudds will no doubt carry over in a big way once Tuesday night hits, and both Fudds get the chance to compete in CCW action!

Winner of the Match: Elmore Fudd, by pinfall.

Brandon Scott vs. Jason X: This showcase of CCW prospects contained an interesting sidenote, as both men are friends in and out of the ring. While every sign pointed to a friendly match, history has often proven that friendships are fine, but the three count is what matters in the end, and what history doesn't show is the lengths either man might go to gain a win, friends or not!

While it was touch and go at the beginning, Scott would start mounting bigger offense, forcing Jason to the floor to gather himself. Taking a bit too long, Scott took the fight to Jason outside, only to be drawn into a big elbow drop upon returning to the ring. Cranking it up a notch, Jason put the boots to Scott after a back body drop before locking in a camel clutch-style submission move. Looking to wear him down further, Jason landed two kidney shots and another back body drop to score another near-fall. Try as he may, Jason simply could not unlock the secret of keeping Scott down for the three count

Reaching deep for a spinebuster, Scott bought himself some valuable time, as both men were now on the even ground known as the canvas. Making it to their feet, Scott and Jason slugged it out, but Scott was breaking through the defenses, working Jason into the corner, mounting the middle ropes to deliver punches as the crowd counted them down. Charging into the corner after Jason, Scott would crash into the turnbuckle, tweaking his still-recovering knee. Sensing opportunity, Jason went for the figure four, but Scott booted him into the ropes, rolling him up for the pin on the rebound!

While a hard-fought match like that can easily produce bitter feelings, even with the best of friends, both men would show mad respect for each other following the match, shaking hands, and then raising each other's arms for acknowledgement from the crowd! It was a stark contrast to some of the recent events in CCW, but more than welcome in this writer's opinion.

Winner of the Match: Brandon Scott, by pinfall.

Kris Kanton vs. J-Mo: In another showcase of the rising stars of CCW, J-Mo hit the ring with a large contingent of of the crowd behind him as Kris Kanton made his way for one-on-one action, no doubt wanting to play the role of spoiler

J-Mo opened up using speed to try and keep the cocky Kanton off-balance, but Kanton would counter with his size advantage, connecting with two knee strikes and a big body slam. An arrogant cover by Kanton would only yield a one count, to which he responded with a huge sidewalk slam. Rallying back, J-Mo would trade shots with Kanton briefly, but Kanton was firing on all six cylinders as he slowed up the tempo, trying submission holds to grind away on his opponent. Making a big-time play for the win, Kanton hit a textbook spinebuster.

Angry when this did not bring about the three count, Kanton took J-Mo to the floor, not only battering away on him around the ring, but taking the time to choke him with a ringside barrier in front of his friends and family! Taking J-Mo back into the ring, Kanton switched gears, moving to a Japanese sleeper. Everything was well in hand for Kanton until J-Mo fought back into the match. Cutting the rally off at the knees, Kanton scored a rock bottom to gain another near-fall, mounting the ropes for the final straw. While Kanton caught a boot to the face for his efforts, J-Mo rounded the corner to a comeback, rocking Kanton with a spear! As both men continued to slug it out, J-Mo would see the opening he needed, ducking a wild Kanton swing to connect with a stunner to gain the pin!

This was an excellent encounter for both men, and while J-Mo may have come out on the heavy end of the paycheck, don't discount Kris Kanton just yet. The big man clearly shows the charisma it takes to succeed in the business, but his X factor has yet to be determined. If this leads to a rematch between the two (and I think this likely), be sure to grab a seat when it goes down, if this first run-in is any indication.

Winner of the Match: J-Mo, by pinfall

Jebediah Blackhawk & Kousin Krazy vs. Bad Medicines #6 & #9 (w/Tim the Baker): With the ever-present Tim the Baker, the Bad Medicines rolled into the CCW Arena looking to back up the threats from the previous Tuesday night on Kousin Krazy, who made a literally out of left field appearance to get Blackhawk's back. With the crowd firmly behind Blackhawk and Krazy, it was not looking to be too easy for Tim the Baker and his masked duo tonight!

Jeb started out with #6, tossing him across the ring with little problem, following up strong with a bulldog to gain an early two-count. Tagging in Krazy, the wildman would bounce #6 into their corner, playing "handful of hair" to get referee Jeremy MacKenzie suspicious of the Bad Medicines' behavior! Tim the Baker was fit to be tied on the outside, as he hadn't counted on the opposition pulling tricks from their sleeve as well! Blackhawk would tag in and score another two count, but the wheels were turning in Tim's corner, as the switch was soon on!

Baiting Kousin Krazy whenever they could, the three put a definite hurting on Blackhawk, gaining solid control of the match, double teaming Blackhawk into near-falls as Krazy chomped at the bit to enter the ring! Things were rolling right along for the Bad Medicines, until a clothesline left Jeb and #9 floored. Making the tag to Kousin Krazy, things quickly broke down as he began cleaning house, joined by Jeb in short fashion, leading to a win, as Krazy pinned #9 following a thunderous chokeslam by Blackhawk.

After the match, Jeb managed to get his hands on Tim the Baker, but just as he was about to deliver justice, the wily baker ducked away as his tag team came back for more. While Jeb and Krazy didn't take long to dispatch the masked men once again, they definitely sent a message to the three of them as to what they thought of the hassle from Tuesday night! Don't expect this to end anytime soon, folks!

Winner of the Match: Jebediah Blackhawk & Kousin Krazy, by pinfall
