Anthony Hopkins’ Daughter Abigail in US for ‘Blue Satin Alley’, Silent as Lambs About Each Other
I love the energy, the enthusiasm here!” Abigail said of Los Angeles, “I would move here if I could. There is so much openness and opportunity”. Instead, Abigail will be living on two continents, in Los Angeles and New York through the end of September 2005, then back to the UK, then crossing the pond again at the beginning of 2006.
When asked if her famous dad (who has just been set to star in the upcoming movie 'Bobby' about Robert Kennedy) is proud of her burgeoning music career, Abigail simply smiled and said softly “I don’t know, we’ve been out of touch. I sure hope he likes my album.” Abigail has been off-limits for interviews with Anthony Hopkins and she is not riding on his coat-tails either.
Blue Satin Alley’, as lush and mysterious as it’s title, is Abigail’s second cd on her label, Possessed Records. From the opening song ‘Butterfly’, the listener is taken on a journey through poignant tales. Abigail’s sultry voice and guitar guide you through stories such as ‘In From the Sea’ with whispered vocals about a mysterious sailor. On the other end of the spectrum, ‘Ghost Soldier’ is a softly powerful anti-war song.
