Director James Cameron to Debunk Christianity?

ISRAEL-Director James Cameron has plans to break news about an archaeological dig in Jerusalem about 25 years ago that apparently unearthed the body of Jesus Christ and his earthly parents. The reason it took 25 years for him to speak up? It took time to translate the names on the primitive caskets.

Israeli construction workers were digging the foundation for a new apartment building in the industrial park in Talpiyot, Jerusalem. Time Magazine reports that when the dirt gave way, it revealed “a 2,000 year old cave with 10 stone caskets. Archaeologists were summoned and the stone caskets carted away for examination. It took 20 years for experts to decipher the names on the ten tombs. They were: Jesua, son of Joseph, Mary, Mary, Mathew, Jofa and Judah, son of Jesua."

Cameron contends they have collected real evidence through DNA tests, archeological evidence, and Biblical studies that the ten coffins belonged to Jesus and his family.

The famous director is holding a press conference on Monday in New York, at which time he will reveal three coffins, supposedly those of Jesus of Nazareth, his mother Mary and Mary Magdalene.

He also says he can prove that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married, as well as had a daughter.

News about the film, which will be shown on the Discovery Channel on March 4 at 9pm Eastern, when Cameron's documentary is aired.

Time magazine speculates Cameron's Discovery Channel documentary will “outrage Christians and stir up a titanic debate between believers and skeptics."

One thing is for certain: news that it took these translators 25 years to do their work surely will cause a decline in business, since the languages of Christ’s time are known, studied, translated, and still spoken today. It will be interesting as well to hear what Mr. Cameron compared DNA samples to in order to decide that one of the bodies belongs to the resurrected God of Judeo Christian doctrine.

Although a writer at heart, I have wanted to experience almost everything encountered in life (which has proven to be an idiotic tendency on too many occasions). I determinedly try to answer the numerous "But WHY?" questions within me, which at times labels me a connoisseur of "the edge." I am certain I will continue to be a repeat returnee to that cliff side until I die, and will one day learn to practice “edge dwelling” in a healthy, sane manner (smile). "Carpe Diem! Seize the day! Make your lives extraordinary!" So is the motto of my life.
