Good Alternatives to Dining: Courier Services

Mary Anne Simpson
There are many times when you may decide that cooking that night is ho hum. Sometimes the family or you may just need a little pick me up and for whatever reason nobody wants to go out to eat. I first used a courier service in San Diego over ten years ago.

The courier service had a menu of about 20 restaurants in the San Diego area. After a day at the zoo with my young son we were just too tuckered out to do anything. We had spent the day eating quick food. So, the chance to order a nice dinner really appealed to my sense of health and well being.

The courier service delivered a piping hot meat loaf dinner with red potatoes, petite peas, rolls and a delicious salad. In addition there were nicely wrapped small carrots, celery sticks with cheese and orange slices.

The dinner was king size and was enough for two normal servings. In fact there were leftovers. The courier service delivered it to us with silver ware, tablecloth and napkins. The bungalow we were staying at took care of returning the items the next day.

This service is also available in smaller communities. Last night we ordered a great Mexican dinner from Taco Del Mar. It is a Mexican restaurant in Montana. During the Chinese New Year celebration we ordered from Dragon Express another great restaurant in Helena. The courier service Cafe Courier is the greatest. The food arrives in about 45 minutes from ordering and you can conveniently order on-line.
