Smart Pooch Has Learned Over 1,000 Words

"A border collie has learned more than 1,000 words, showing US researchers that her memory is not only better than theirs, but that she understands quite a bit about how language works.

Chaser learned the names for 1,022 toys, so many that her human handlers had to write on them in marker so that they wouldn't forget, said study co-author Alliston Reid, a psychology professor at Wofford College in South Carolina."

Chaser probably knows more words than Snooki, if the reality star hires the pooch as a tutor maybe the next book she writes won't require crayons.

The brainiac canine remembered the names for 1,022 toys, that puts me to shame. I have a hard time remembering more than ten passwords, thank goodness that my anti-virus program auto fills the passwords to my different social networking accounts.

The doggie doesn't even receive a treat when she correctly identifies a toy, she loves playing and interacting with her owner.

I love my dogs, but if I set out to teach them how to identify toys, I don't think I would have to buy more than a couple of toys. They ain't geniuses, but I love them to death.
