YOU WANT WHAT??

Joseph Raglione
Dear Yohannes Abraham:

Sorry, but I no longer do free publicity work. The world humanitarian peace and ecology movement is concentrating on helping the poor survive on a daily basis. Towards that purpose, and that purpose only, we will concentrate our efforts.

I will be concentrating on locating money to help children in Haiti and in Africa survive starvation and drought and disease! I will also continue the work of protecting the environment from foolish and basically ignorant people who continue to ignore the evidence and the consequences of global warming, and who are working against their own best interest and against all our basic survival efforts.

Within the context of a struggling economy, I will push the concept of home gardens and the creation of small local business. Both will become an important focus for basic survival. Every: School Garden and Roof-Top Garden, Glass Green-House Garden, Hydro-Ponic Garden and also Gardens within vertical office buildings will be publicized. We will talk about clean Air and clean Water and how to create and distribute clean drinking Water, as well as how to stimulate the World economy by publicizing the development and marketing of the new Electric vehicles now entering the market. The all Electric Cars are wonderful and just what the Doctor ordered for a cleaner planet. They are presently arriving from Europe and Asia and if I were you I would visit the General Motors company and ask why their Volt does not as yet compete and if you want to see exactly where the economy is going, watch Max Keiser's report: http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/1000.html...and pay close attention to how the American Government threatened to punish France for not accepting Monsanto's Genetically modified seeds. Killer seeds that create birth defects in small animals and possibly in humans. Is Monsanto creating a secretive birth control system for the world?

If you want free publicity, I suggest you contact the following people and organizations:

Leo Gerard: International Steel Workers Union.

Keith Olberman: MSNBC.COM

Eugene Robinson: Political Analyst and Associate Editor of the Washington Post.

Robert Kuttner: Author: "'A Presidency in Peril''

David Coyn: Political Analyst

Ezra Klein: The Washington Post.

Olberman can help you contact the best and brightest and I suggest you accept his ideas and suggestions.

I also suggest the Democrats do something strange for the next Two Years. Describe to the American people every move the Republicans are making, foolish or not, and why they are making those moves. Filibuster the filibusters! Block the Republicans at every turn and don't capitulate until the next Presidential election.

Signed: Joseph Raglione

Subject: Sad but not surprising

Joseph --

House Republicans are moving forward to repeal all provisions of health reform, with a final vote scheduled for next week.

If they get their way, insurance companies will once again have the right to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, drop or limit coverage if you become sick, and charge women higher premiums than men. Seniors will lose critical prescription drug savings and free preventive care under Medicare.

It's sad but not surprising.

The motivations here have little to do with good policy. Repeal is just the first agenda item of a new Republican majority that is much more interested in appeasing their right-wing base and looking out for special interests than working together to create jobs and grow the economy.

Behind the scenes, insurance-industry lobbyists are working overtime with Republicans to take us back to the days when their clients were able to do whatever they wanted.

But this movement is different. We don't take our cues from special interests or lobbyists, and we never will. We don't take their money either, relying solely on support from folks like you -- and it only makes us stronger.

Right now, Organizing for America is putting together a team of dedicated organizers and volunteers to defend our progress, stop repeal, and expose the Republican plan for what it really is.

Please help stop the repeal of health insurance reform!

We fought to pass the Affordable Care Act because it was the right thing to do.

Its provisions are fair, reduce the deficit by more than $230 billion over the next 10 years, cut costs, and protect all Americans from the worst insurance industry abuses. The law is already making a difference in people's lives.

Among other provisions, the Affordable Care Act:

Prevents insurers from raising premiums by double digits with no recourse or accountability;

Requires insurers to spend 80 to 85 percent of premium dollars on health care, not CEO bonuses -- and if they don't, they have to provide you a rebate;

Frees families from the fear of losing their insurance, or having it capped unexpectedly, after an injury or illness; and

Prohibits insurance companies from discriminating against pregnant women or denying coverage to children born with disabilities.

The Republican alternative at this point consists of a two-page addendum to the two-page repeal bill. It's a plan to make a plan to have a plan.

Even without a coherent proposal, they won't have trouble raising money to drum up support for repeal. Republicans' close relationship with entrenched interests has benefited them in campaigns that did not begin -- and will not end -- with health reform.

But we're fighting back with everything we've got -- building a large-scale, grassroots effort to stop this repeal and protect our progress. Your support will fund the organizing that generates calls to Congress, neighborhood canvasses, and letters in our local papers.

Together, we'll make sure our message is heard and understood: We stand by health reform and will not tolerate attempts to put insurance companies back in charge.

Subject: My last email

Dear Joseph,

In my six years as the DSCCīs executive director, it hasnīt been unusual to meet people on the street who tell me they read my emails. Once, a checkout person in a grocery store in Portland, OR, weighed in! I usually readied myself for teasing about the (ahem) "volume" of email. But almost always, I encountered passionate Democrats concerned about the direction of our country and eager to see bold leadership in the Senate.

Together, we have a lot to be proud of.

Six years ago, we were slogging through the dreadful Bush years and six seats in the minority. But in 2006, you fought to get those seats back and put Senate Democrats in charge. In 2008, you elected a huge class of Democrats to support a new Democratic president and an agenda for change. And in November, you pushed back on a tide of Tea Party extremists and special interest forces. Against the odds, you retained the Senate majority.

More important is the progress weīve made: Wall Street reform. Lilly Ledbetter. The first Hispanic woman to the Supreme Court. Credit card reform. Tobacco industry regulation. Food safety. The biggest public lands preservation bill in generations.

And, of course, health care reform.

Just last month, the Senate repealed "donīt ask, donīt tell," ratified the anti-nuclear proliferation treaty with Russia and beat back GOP efforts to kill funding for 9-11 victims and responders. (I still canīt believe the Republicans went there!)

What we can expect in return from the GOP is sad and predictable: endless Senate filibusters and a brazen right-wing attack on the Obama administration. (This weekīs headline from the New York Times: GOP Newcomers Set Out To Undo Obama Victories.) Even more alarming is their shocking disregard for middle class America. Theirs is an agenda meant to reward the GOP donor base and further divide the nation along class lines.

We still have so much to do. The DSCC has an energetic chair in Sen. Patty Murray and a terrific new executive director in Guy Cecil. You can count on both as fighters who are determined to keep Democrats in the majority.

Still, they wonīt be successful without you. Really.

I ask humbly that you continue this fight we both care so passionately about.

In appreciation,

J.B. Poersch

P.S. Once more, for old timeīs sake! Itīs a new year, the fight has already begun, help the new team today with a $5 donation.

About Joseph Raglione
Hi! I am the executive director of the World Humanitarian Peace and Ecology Movement. I began as an environmental activist in 1969 and basically, never stopped! I Graduated College in Social Science and registered as a non-profit corporation in 1988 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I am one of a very few non-profit and generic freedom loving journalists left on Earth, and I continue today to study and to understand the problems connected with human activity on this Planet. My affiliates include: GreenPeace, the Nature Conservancy, the Bio-diversity organization, the Sierra Club, the David Suzuky foundation, the WWF, Amnesty International, World Vision, the IUF organization; as well as the wonderful and independant N.A.S.A. scientists studying our Planet's weather systems. Of course NASA also studies the mysteries of the Eternal Universe with satelite generated images and, over the years, have generously allowed me and thousands of our world scientists to study over their shoulder's via the Internet.
In spite of some past U.S. government repression, NASA continues to provide solid evidence of global warming.
NASA has provided me with pictorial evidence of Rainforest deforestation within: Jakarta, Peru, Africa, Brazil and even in Western Canada!
The motivation for such destruction continues to be (often illegally) for: lumber, for bio-fuels, and for Cattle ranching. Today, the perceived future profits for Palm Oil and for Bio-Fuels are prime motivators for environmental destruction. Small crop farming also contributes but that may be changing as farmers learn to protect the Rain-Forest.
With NASA imaging, there is proof that large city heat traps are helping global warming, and with (infrared images)there is proof that several hundred million gas burning vehicles (including ship and airplanes) presently create a hugh quantity of pollution tracks across both Oceans and Sky.
With oil, gas, Coal and Bio-Fuel heated buildings around the world creating C02 emissions, and with Methane release from all animal species...giant Ozone holes have been created and continue to exist above the North and South Poles. Ozone holes allow the Sun to radiate the Ice Caps and to accelerate the Ice melt, which releases more Methane into the atmosphere, which continues to thin out the Ozone. A vicious circle created by human need and also, unhappily, by human greed!
I have been asked to write to the Prime Minister of Japan to ask him to stop the murderous assault on endangered Whales. Every year, thousands of Whales are killed in the Antarctic with GreenPeace volunteers placing themselves between the Whales and the grenade tipped harpoons, and peope like myself, (I did not forget this is my "Bio," putting my old neck on the line attempting to change the situation by writing thousands if not millions of words!
Are words dangerous?
Over three hundred journalists were killed within the last ten years. You tell me if words are dangerous!
As I write these words, the desperate and starving in Darfur are waiting for rescue. I motivated a few kind hearted California Actors to visit the region and to report back. They did! They then created the Darfur coalition and they continue to fight to save the innocent victims trapped in tents in the desert of the Sudan. Darfuri's were attacked and moved from their homes because somebody believes there is Oil under the Sudan desert.
As I write this, a few sick and desperate people in Iraq are wrapping bombs around themselves in order to die in the name of God, and the list of humanitarian disasters continues. I also contribute information to the Reuter's news service. It is time for a change. Please help make it happen!
