PODS moving and storage company spreads holiday cheer to Florida families along the coast

Tina Vervoorn
(Daytona Beach Fla.) – Bob Eales, owner of four PODS moving and storage franchises located along Florida´s Atlantic coastline, knows that the holidays are hard for many families who are struggling in today´s difficult economy. A firm believer that local business should support the local community, Eales donates the use of PODS storage containers to dozens of non-profit organizations that provide aid to Florida children and families.

"Using our PODS to aid children and families in our local communities makes me feel like Santa," said Eales.

In Jacksonville, Fla., Eales´ PODS containers have been used as storage for toys, decorations and supplies for the Florida Baptist Children´s Home, the Ronald McDonald House and The Monique Burr Foundation for Children´s annual Jingle Bells Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

In Daytona Beach, PODS are utilized to store Toys for Tots donations, household items collected and distributed to the needy by the Calvary Outreach Program and as holiday gift collection receptacles for Flagler Volunteer Services.

Further south, in Melbourne and Port St. Lucie, Eales donates PODS containers to Toys for Tots, the Treasure Coast FOOD Bank, radio station WA1A´s Toys for Kids toy drive as well as to numerous schools, churches and youth organizations.
