Save a school feeding program in Southern Sudan

William Lambers
In October I wrote about school feeding to fight child hunger in Southern Sudan. Featured in the piece was a school meal initiative being run by Catholic Relief Services. This program, at last report, is to run out of funding at the end of December.

A petition is available at the CARE 2 web site for helping to save this school feeding program.

The petition reads:

A school feeding program for 16,889 primary school children in Southern Sudan will run out of funding at the end of December. This is a program run by Catholic Relief Services in partnership with the World Food Programme. School meals to help feed and educate children are a vital part of Southern Sudan's recovery from a Civil War.

You can help this program by donating to Catholic Relief Services using their online formImportant: In the "special request" box at the bottom of the donation form fill in the code  "Sudan School feeding program-6880215."Thank you for your interest and support of school feeding in Southern Sudan.
